Dear anon, with all due respect, when you say, “why didn’t they get help Palestine is getting now” — I just want to point out that in the moment that we’re discussing this online, Gaza is still getting bombed and a ground invasion is ongoing. People all over the world and on social media may be raising their voices in favour of Palestine, but there is no ceasefire, nor is a ceasefire being discussed by those who have the most power in this situation. People in Palestine are not really “getting help”. We can donate, but not much of that help is even entering Gaza right now.

None of this is to say Harry’s mom deserves any hate from the fans, or that Croatians didn’t deserve our support. But reading “Palestina is getting help” feels very WRONG when every hour, dead Gazan children are popping up on all our screens, with no signs of stopping.

Why are people atacking Anne for posting about Harry's haircut but not posting about Palestina that's her son and everymother will defend her son no matter if he's 7,17 or 47. In case people forgot there was a war in many countries before this there was a war between Croatia and Serbia 30 years ago and Croatian people were also dying but no one gave a shit about that because that's some small country in Europe so why would peple care about them and their people who had nothing and were all alone without anyone's help but they still managed to save their own country and don't get me wrong Palestina deserves all support but what about other countries who were also warzoned why didn't they get help Palestina is getting now. I am not even Croatian I just realy love history and I wanted to learn more about warzoned countries.

Yea I don’t get it either. Seems like fandoms always want someone to attack these days. I think people forget celebrities are not politicians. HS voicing his opinion on the matter is not gonna sway these leaders. And we don’t know if he has silently donated to relief for Gaza or not. I’m not gonna get mad at him or any celeb for keeping their political views to themselves.

I always felt like Betty and August were two sides of Taylor, wherein she had both been the “woman scorned”, and the “other woman”.

What makes folklore’s love triangle being Haylor inspired so fascinating is that this implies Taylor might have been in the role of both Betty and August…for the same guy.

August

In the Long Pond Session, Taylor said to her James and Betty wind up together, but August is sensitive and really cares for James. Taylor drew on her personal experience to comment on the tendency to blame the 'other woman'. Similar to combining Better than Revenge and Slut! in the Era's show, Taylor shows a perspective growth.

While in Cardigan and Betty relate Betty to Taylor and James to Harry. August is a composite character:

To me, the title August is in part inspired by Connor Kennedy, who Taylor had a summer fling with July - mid-August before getting back together with Harry by September.

Summer Love by One Direction has a similar meaning. It's one of only 2 songs on the standard album the boys are credited on. Take Me Home was recorded in the period Harry and Taylor were apart May - August 2012.

Harry later wrote 'I love you' performed by Alex and Sierra in 2014 which is also referenced.

August is not co-written with William Bowery, but Joe Alwyn has a production credit.

I love this verse. It sets the scene in Hyannis Port where Taylor briefly owned a home and spent time with Harry and Connor.

The innocence of the end of this verse warms my heart because after dating men nearing their 30's, Taylor dated teenagers.

Taylor has a lot of school/high school analogies in Haylor songs, to me “back at school” is a stand in for HS returning to the 1D tour/promo schedule

Summer Love also refers to “But I always will remember / You were my summer love”

August cares for James, but they aren’t meant to be.

Still Changing for the better is such a sad lyric, to me it sounds like TS didn’t feel that way when she wrote it

The line “meet me behind the mall” reminds me of Coney Island’s “we were like the mall before the internet” where TS and HS are the mall, but August and James are meeting behind it.

Cowboy like me, also has waiting for a call “Now I'm waiting by the phone / Like I'm sitting in an airport bar”

She also said 'meet me behind the mall' was a lyric she had a lot time that inspired the song.
