So I just learned a couple of new things about Silent Hill 2!
Remember this message? James is the one who wrote it. What looks to be someone else addressing him at the end of the message is also his signature - so not only is it his signature, but he’s also addressing himself.
Also, notice how a bunch of letters are needlessly capitalized? In order of appearance, they look like this:

But if you rearrange them, this is what they spell out:
I NEED YOU MARY BE REAL
Seeing this message increases the chance of getting The Water ending.
