Real. But some people just jump into relationships after like a few weeks of knowing each other I think(?). Like what do you mean you’ve only known them for a few weeks and you’re dating. Where’s the year or so of getting to know each other. Learning their favorite things to do, having sleepovers and hangouts, watching shitty movies or binging shows together (once spent a whole day with my best friend and her mom watching Gilmore Girls. It was fun another time my best friend and I watched a few episodes of White Collar one night and the next day almost a season of Henry Danger). Where’s the geeking out over shared interests?

isn't being demiromantic the default??? "Demiromantic describes individuals who experience romantic attraction only after forming a strong emotional connection with someone." that's the default. you can't have a romantic attraction to someone you barely know.

Thanks for the encouragement Kayla. My parents are Christian. I’m on the fence haven’t been to church the majority of my life and find myself more atheist. My dad is like kind of sexist sometimes and thinks I should be wanting to date at my current age even though I’ve mentioned many times that I’m not interested in dating. They are also like hardcore Republican but with what I know I think o lean more democratic over Republican. Idk just don’t feel 100% comfy coming out to my parents.

I figured since it’s pride month even though I’m not 100% sure on the labels I think best define me I figured I’d tell you. I think demiromantic lesbian probably best defines me as far as I can tell. Those labels feel right.

I don’t feel comfortable coming out to many people I know in person because my parents only support the gay, lesbian, and bi labels. My dad does support the poly label I think but I’m not sure.

Saw a post about the Macarena in a community I’m in. Made me think of this thing that happened the other day.

I was at a swim meet on Saturday and I looked back and one of my friends/fellow coach/teammate was doing the Macarena behind me. I was very confused. He said one of the other swimmers started it. And this guy is like 6ft, 19 years old and a swimmer in college. He’s my club coaches son as well (we’re coaching summer league with her). The only way we’re teammates is because during the summer he’s swimming club. Anyway since summer league has started banter has been exchanged, playful threats have been given, and water has been stolen from my 1/2 gallon water bottle (It’s a hundred degrees in Louisiana daily I do not blame him).
