Some of your books make it seems like you believe in actual literal magic, do you? ()
I can write down a few words and make people thousands of miles away, whom I have never met and will never meet, laugh tears of joy and cry tears of true sorrow for people who do not exist and have never existed and never will exist. If that isn't actual literal magic I don't know what is.

if you write a strong character, let them fail.
if you write a selfless hero, let them get mad at people.
if you write a cold-hearted villain, make them cry.
if you write a brokenhearted victim, let them smile again.
if you write a bold leader, make them seek guidance.
if you write a confident genius, make them be wrong, or get stumped once in a while.
if you write a fighter or a warrior, let them lose a battle, but let them win the war.
if you write a character who loses everything, let them find something.
if you write a reluctant hero, give them a reason to fight.

Luffy looked up. The sky was nowhere to be seen. He looked around, frantically. Fragments, shades of darkness. Down. The ground-- cold, under his small, weak hands.
Blank.
"It's okay," he hears. "It's better," the voice-- Robin-- adds.
Or AU in which confronting Teach takes more from Luffy.

Thank you for answering! I'll jsut post potential fics / summaries / snippets and whatever
I might not write fics like I used to but I still write pieces from time to time, maybe it could somewhere maybe it could stop there, I'm not sure sharing them would interest anyone

This question is not about whether or not you enjoy the quality or quantity of the writing that's available there, but rather the experience of reading the fic.
If you reblog this, would love to hear reasons for why you like one platform over another.

You are allowed to like your own writing. You wrote it, it's tailored to yourself, you should enjoy it. You took plain words and put them in a beautiful order to create an awesome story. Beat that imposter syndrome and be proud.

I'm always caught between "wanting to draw certain scenes in a fanfic I just read" vs "being unsure if fanfic writers welcome unsolicited art" vs "too socially inept to ask them" so I'm just stuck with random doodles I never bother to post
