UPDATE: I'm Still Here!

Hi, friends! It's been a while since I last posted to Tumblr, but I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm alive and well, and have been very busy with a whole slew of commissions.

Here's what I've been up to for the past few months:

Personal Project: Princess Peach Showtime Dress-Up Doll

I have been OBSESSED with the Princess Peach game, and so have taken it upon myself to remake ALL of her outfits (13 total!) as my next big personal sewing project. I already have the base outfit completed, as well as Swordfighter Peach and Mermaid Peach (through I still need to add her pearls). Next up will either be Detective peach or Patisserie Peach. If you have a preference for which you'd like to see first, let me know in the comments!

Commission: Phoenix Wright "Beanix" Plushie

I received another commission for a "Beanix" Phoenix Wright from the Ace Attorney series. Unlike my last one, this client wanted darker skin with stubble and blue eyes, but it's mostly identical to the last one I made. Still, always nice to see this guy in plushie form.

Commission: Mousse from Food Fantasy

Another commission I received from a VERY obscure mobile game (so obscure that I could only find 2 images of this character!) This was one of the most complex outfits I've had to do yet, with lots of little details on the boots and the belt and the cape, and the client was thrilled with the result. Although it had my head spinning at times, I enjoy the challenge of simplifying complex designs like this.

Shark Plushie

This wasn't a commission or anything. My mom wanted to learn how I make plushies, so I taught her how to make a cute little shark. <3

Commission: FFXIV Player Characters

And my most recent commission: a pair of Final Fantasy XIV avatars! These guys are Kasumi and Moe, and they are the client and his wife's characters in-game. The client requested them for his wife's birthday, and I was happy to do so. The outfits were so cute and cozy, especially the big fluffy househoes. I even included a little message in Kasumi's sweater pocket.

I have one more commission I just finished, but since the person hasn't received it yet, I'm keeping that one secret for now...

Commission: Mouse Mitsuru Kanouji

A commission I completed a month or two ago for a mouse version of Mitsuru Kanouji from Demon Slayer. Lots of fun challenges with this one! The hair is actually airbrushed green at the ends, and I added chest fluff to stand in for her...umm, "airbags."

My first Ace Attorney commission! I got a request for Phoenix in three different outfits: Beanix, Bossnix and "that outfit" from Tres Bien.

Winter Plushie Ornaments

I had an overabundance of white fabric from my commissions, so I decided to make some fun little plushie charms/ornaments for my family.

Commission: Mouse Edelgard from Fire Emblem Three Houses

This was a very fun and sweet order for a mouse Edelgard for the client's girlfriend as a Christmas present. The client requested space for a voice box, which was a new challenge for me. Ultimately the opening was smaller than intended, but we still made it work. I hope she enjoys it! 🎁

Commission: Snow White from Nikke: Goddess of Victory

A custom order for the character Snow White with wolf ears and a tail. With the ears, tails, and all the various bits of armor, this was by and large one of my most complex orders yet. I even enlisted the help of my husband to make custom dog tags for the plushie. Overall, this is one of the plushies I am most proud of this year, and I'm happy to say my client was equally pleased.

Commission: Bucky Barnes

An Etsy commission for a pre-Winter Soldier Bucky Barnes. It was a fun challenge getting the period clothing to look correct. I also used a new method of adding stubble: I ground up some pastels and brushed it on with a makeup brush. The end result turned out great, even if I went a touch heavy on his five o'clock shadow. 😅

Phoenix Wright from Ace Attorney

I had to make a Phoenix to go with my Miles. I based his hair on the official Good Smile plushie, and it turned out even better than I hoped.

I also learned how to tie a tie specifically for this plushie, so there's that. 😅

They're together now. 💙 ♥️

Miles Edgeworth from Ace Attorney

So the gay lawyer game has completely taken over my life...

Made this grumpy boi in about a week. I was going to make a lace cravat, but it ended up being too frilly. (as if there IS such a thing for Edgeworth) Maybe I'll save it for a special occasion like his wedding to Phoenix

I plan on making a Phoenix as well, once I get some more commissions out of the way.

Commission: Dragonair

I return!

A commission I made for a fellow VA and Twitch streamer. This Dragonair clocks in at 4 feet long, officially making her the loooooongest plushie I've ever attempted. She also has floral wire running through her so she's (mostly) posable as well!

Tsum Leon and Luis

Otherwise known as LuLu and LeLe.

I saw @kaychen666 and TakumixXx on Twitter's adorable designs for Tsum Luis and Tsum Leon and I HAD to give it a try. They are massive in size for Tsums (about 6 inches long and 4 inches tall), but I'm very pleased with how they turned out.

BTW, this all originated from a joke on Luis's voice actor Andre Pena's stream. So really, this is all his fault.

(...I kid, Andre is a lovely human being. ❤️)

Squirtle

And now, Squirtle! The swirl on its tail went a little sideways unfortunately, but I'm very pleased with the stitching on its belly and shell.

Charmander

Been on a bit of a Pokemon kick recently, so decided to make a Charmander to keep my Bulbasaur and Pikachu plushies company.

Squirtle is up next for you Water-type starter fans. More Pokemon are also coming soon!

Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil 4

The Rez Evil brain rot continues...here's Leon!

I plan on making his RE2 outfit as well, but that will be for later. Also, I realize his jacket is supposed to be leather, not suede, but suede is softer to cuddle with. 🫂
