the way to “rewatch” “the x files” is to watch it relentlessly for 3 formative years of ur life, go cold turkey for 4 more years, then get stoned and watch a midseason mythology episode so completely defamiliarized that ur synapses start to fritz out over the noirish slant of neon & the plot real estate eaten up by scuzzy paranoia & the sheer scale of gillian anderson’s massive fucking b-movie horror girl peepers. not writing from experience btw
