I don't understand when people say that Brandi Broke doesn't want to improve her situation. She literally can't improve her situation. Sure there's a lot of expansive furnishings (likely stolen by either Skip or Dustin) but that doesn't mean she spends money on herself, there could be so many other explanations. She could sell them sure, but that would only get them so far before being plunged back into poverty. She can't get a job as she has to look after the children and she can't afford a nanny? I also saw a video from The Sims Lore where they suggest she isn't poor because she's close to being fat? When poor people are often overweight because they only have access to low quality calorie dense food. Her bio states she enjoys grape juice and crumpling tin foil. This implies she has addiction issues, maybe because Skip, as its often said he was a criminal, got her to try it, and it became a coping mechanism. Addiction isn't something that people can help. It's a legitimate medical issue. It's not that she doesn't want to improve her situation, it's that she has no support from those around her in order to help her get better. She's very clearly shown to be trying her best despite the circumstances. Sims community, your classism is showing.

Cassandra Goth has moved in with The Dreamers, turned down Darren's advances but they remain friends. She met Lazlo Curious at a community lot and I figured they would make a good pair, but the next day she came home with Vidcund Curious and they autonomously kissed! They seem to make a better couple than her and Lazlo so I think I'll continue with it.

Genetically Correct Angela and Lilith Pleasant

i’ve been screwing around with my TS2 uberhood for a little while now (just to take a break from the porkchops) and when i went to makeover the pleasants i remembered how much it bothered me that the twins don’t have an ounce of mary-sue in them. 8/

so i went ahead and made angelica, the girls’ long-lost triplet sister who mysteriously looks more like their parents than they do. xD

(note that angelica here is not truly correct offspring – if she was, she’d have sunken cheeks as an elder thanks to some lovely broken face shapes. i tried to fix her as best i could.)

The Sims 2 Uberhood: Pleasantview, Rotation 0.5

Minimal photos as I started this rotation about 18 months ago then abandoned it. Whoops. Posting mainly text to keep up to speed with what's already happened. I use the clean templates by meetmetotheriver, so Bella has been recovered and added as a Townie. Note that I also use BellaDovah's Sims 3-Ish Aging System, so my lifespans are tweaked, particuarly the adult lifespans.

Don Lothario leaves Cassandra Goth at the alter. Though marrying into the Goths will give him immense wealth and influence, he's too concerned about the increased scrutiny regarding his affairs. Some time after the wedding, Bella returns home, with no memory of what happened after she left to meet Don Lothario at his condo. Mortimer welcomes her back, but she still hasn't forgiven him for their last argument, where she told him she no longer wanted to be a test subject for his life-extending drink, the Elixr of Life. They have another explosive argument, culminating in her asking him to drink it to prove it's safe, and he ages back to the start of his adult lifespan along with her. Cassandra and Alexander decide that now is not the time to tell her that Mortimer has been seeing Dina Caliente a little too soon after her disapperance.

Alexander Goth ages up well.

Cassandra adopts a senior cat named Ronroneo, a bird called Satre and a guinea pig called Jean-Paul.

The Burb family move into a small house, Jennifer gets a job in the medical career whilst John tends to the garden and looks after the house.

Don Lothario begins another love affair with Danielle Lillard, a townie from the Gearhead social group in Apartment Life.

Daniel Pleasant and Kaylynn Langerak continue their affair with Mary-Sue Pleasant still none the wiser.

Lillth Pleasant runs away from home and is soon found by the police.

Still heartbroken from Don, Cassandra makes the rash decision to move in with her friend Darren Dreamer and his son Dirk, animals in tow.

Sims 2 Uberhood: Veronaville, Rotation 1

(I am playing from scratch using the Clean 'hood templates by meetmetotheriver, hence Goneril and Regan Capp and Bianca Monty have jobs in the family business from the beginning, have more funds, ages have been corrected, and Oberon's surname remains Gossamer as opposed to Summerdream as he and Titania are not married. I'm considering having them get married in the next rotation, but I do love the unconventional family dynamic of the Summerdreams).

Tybalt Capp and Mercutio Monty are off to college, and, horribly, find themselves in the same Halls of Residence. After a lot of initial fighting, Tybalt challenges Mercutio to a game of chess to prove his superior Capp intellect, but they end up realising they have a great deal in common; they are both orphans, and now bear the responsibility of being the heir to the family's name, property and assets. Tybalt feels pressure to follow in Consort's footsteps and take a career in Business, initially following his grandfather's demands he study Economics, but he's more interested in Politics, and would, on Mercutio's advice, change his major to Political Science. Mercutio, too, has no interest in joining the Culinary career like his grandparents, being world-famous Celebrity Chefs, and, after deliberating for a semester, chose to major in Biology with his high interest in the Environment, and his one true hobby being nature; he enjoys gardening and is fascinated by animals and wildlife, starting a collection of taxidermy bugs and keeping an ant colony in his bedroom. Still keeping a safe distance from one another, one night Tybalt came back from his lecture to see Mercutio watching a football match, and realising they support the same team, the Verona Wanderers, and in fact Tybalt had even been trialled for their under 21's devision, despite occasional fights, the tension is beginning to fade.

Mercutio invites Oberon Gossamer and Titania Summerdream for a night on the town with a few of the other Montys and a game of poker is played, but he's brought along an unusual and controversial companion he appears to be getting on a little too well with; Tybalt Capp.

Whilst I'm posting Sims 4 content, here are some various incarnations of my beloved OCs Alexsander Vlaev (Lexy) and Dorian Lovecraft. I first made them in The Sims 3 in about 2014 as adults and I later made them in The Sims 4 as teenagers. Lexy always had the big glam rocker hair until the last time or so I made them where I gave them the long blonde hair with the fringe, as the backcombing seemed a lot of upkeep for a teenager. In my Sims 3 save file they woohooed the entire town and they had to move to another neighbourhood in disgrace. In every story they're childhood best friends who have a series of dating mishaps (in my last Sims 4 save, Dorian got Cassandra Goth pregnant as I forgot I had a teen pregnancy mod installed. Whoops.), before later into adulthood realising they've been in love with each other all along. Lexy is nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns, and is generally a bit of a layabout. Dorian is a cis gay man who doesn't come out until adulthood, and is a writer.

I'd really like to make them on The Sims 2 if I can find all the right cc. I was surprised how much like their Sims 3 counterparts I was able to make them look in 4, and with much less effort too, they only took me about ten minutes each compared to a couple of hours (remember the curse of the pudding faces in 3? You needed custom sliders to make anyone look halfway decent, but the more realistic style suited my maxis-mix sims far better than most of the cc available for 4, if I have one enemy it's sims 4 clay hair; eughh.)

I haven't touched The Sims 4 in a while but my legacy founder started dating Lou Howell and they had a bit of an accidental baby (I didn't want her to get knocked up so quickly as I wanted to cure Lou's lycanthropy - nothing against wolves but the werewolf rage is, ironically, quite infuriating, as it drives relationships down and on normal lifespan (considering I'm used to playing TS4 with an absolutely epic lifespan and set it to normal for this legacy, every moment counts, anyway she got knocked up thanks to WW autonomy before he was cured), she's a werewolf and I called her Luna. Isn't she absolutely beautiful? I was looking at some posts on Tumblr of sims with Lou as the dad and, wow, he has some good genetics. Sadly Lou and Steph (my founder)'s relationship has been suffering since Luna came along. They didn't have time to get married, as I'm doing the legacy the proper way, starting from literally nothing, and Lou has two jobs whilst Steph has a job as a teacher, and they're both using all their paid vacation to look after Luna. At least now she's a toddler she's more independent. I find Sims 4 toddlers cute, in comparison to The Sims 2 where they're, frankly, annoying. Their voices in 4 are actually cute but in 2 they grate on me, I'm afraid to say. Maybe it's from playing it when I was a child and not really knowing how to look after them without them constantly screaming. Anyway is it just me or do relationships decay so much quicker in 4 or is it just the simulation lag from the rediculous amount of mods needed to make the game engaging and fun?
