The first time the traveler lays a hand on him, it’s after a particularly rough battle.
The aeonblight drake, the airborne menace, the missile shooting trigger happy machine - it doesn’t matter what it’s called, it doesn’t change the fact that he wouldn’t care even if it burnt it to the ground and had its ashes razed. The stupid thing was way faster than its bulky build suggested, and he’s had his fair share of chasing around the damn thing in mid-air, so he’s not surprised that when they finally take it down after at least 30 minutes of fighting, his knees give out and he barely manages to catch himself before his nose ends up squashed.
It is no secret that wanderer is a truly breathtaking being, so it comes as no surprise that people often come over, trying to weasel their way inside his pants.
Of course, by now he is already used to this behavior, so he pays no mind when yet another lady attempts to approach him.
Just because he was used to this, did not mean he enjoyed when those beings dared to think they had a chance with him.
The woman’s high pitched tone was already beginning to ring in his ears, much like that of the annoying fairy he was forced to travel with. Huffing, he was ready to send the girl away, that is until she tried to touch him.
He was not someone who appreciated being touched, especially not by some lowly human who had yet to learn her place. There was only one person he allowed to do to him as she pleased, but ironically enough, she had shown no interest of getting anywhere near him.
His instinctual response was to swat the offending limb away - or at least it would be - had someone else not gotten there before him.
One moment he had be ready to slap that hand away, the other he found himself wrapped a strong embrace, pressed flush against a petite woman’s chest.
He didn’t have to look back to know who it was, for there was only one person’s touch his body did not recoil against.
He could feel his face steadily heating up as Lumine’s head landed on his shoulder, glaring daggers at the woman as she - not so - subtly pulling him closer and closer to her, like a lioness marking her territory.
“Oh! I’m sorry… I didn’t know you were already taken.” The woman stuttered, clearly afraid of the piercing glare being thrown her way.
Much to his reluctant joy, Lumine didn’t bother denying the accusation, simply shifting her gaze from the girl to their hands joined over his waist. He silently prayed to any Archon willing to listen, that she wouldn’t be able to hear the frantic mechanical thump in chest, increasing in intensity whenever her fingers ran over knuckles, so lovingly featherlight it was almost as if she were touching a precious treasure.
The traveler din’t try to excuse herself, nor did he have the courage to question her, fearing her answer might shatter whatever little hope began to fester inside of him.
All he did was stand perfectly still, afraid that any move might scare her off.
But… she didn’t leave.
She stood there with him until his legs began to tire, and even then, when they trailed the same route back home her hands did not leave his.
He could only hope that meant as much to her as it did to him.
Whenever Scara is annoying Lumi, she grabs his hand and starts lovingly kissing it
To any outsider it looks like a sweet moment, but in reality Lumi is using their bond to send him all of her most depraved thoughts, describing in detail everything she wants to do to him and he is desperate to get home so they came make her fantasies come true.
If she is feeling particularly generous she might drag him to a dark corner and have her way with him, but if she’s not she’ll drag out this sweet torture until he is begging her to touch him, yet all she does is giggle as he squirms besides her; legs crossed as she leaves sweet kisses all over his knuckles, her free hand tracing his trembling thighs as she keeps on telling him how much she wants to spread them apart…
I am now obsessed with the idea of Lumi knowing other descenders that sometimes stop by Teyvat just to say hi to her.
I mean, if she and her brother have been traveling between worlds for so long, they are bound to meet others that do the same. With Lumine’s curious nature, she would most likely come over to chat with those people and exchange stories, and perhaps even traveling together for a while.
With her being as lovable as she is, those other travelers sometimes decide to follow her to some other worlds just to see how she’s doing. Y’know, like ancient beings who have been friends for centuries and occasionally meet up in random worlds.
Now, imagine if one of them stops by Teyvat because they haven’t seen her in a while (500 years coma and all that jazz) and were starting to get worried.
Now think of her harem’s reaction when they see this hot looking creature, that clearly knows more abt Lumine than they could ever hope to and to wrap thing up with a nice little bow, they can follow her to any world she ends up in.
I think some of them would be fascinated to se another being like Lumine but change their minds after seeing how chummy they act around each other. (Like Albedo, Venti, Kaeya, Zhongli, Cyno, Tighnari and Diluc)
While others would be the personification of jealousy. They don’t care who this person is, they just want them away from Lumine. (Scara and Childe)
And ofc there is the depressive bunch that will just think “wow, this person is so much better than me” and back off, silently crying to themselves (Xiao, Gorou)
Now, to make it worse, imagine that person is the kind of friend that acts like they are married to their pal. They know Lumi’s favorite food, color, book, her hobbies, the things she dislikes; they touch her casually and carry around any essentials she might need and comfort her when she remembers abt her brother.
The guys are all afraid she might suddenly decide to leave with that person, leaving them all behind, so they do their best to remind her of the good things about Teyvat, in attempt to convince her to stay.
They all come together to treat her with an almost royal treatment, claiming it to be repayment for all her hard work, when in reality they just really want to spoil her.
Of course, Lumi is confused at the sudden affection she is being showered with - after all she would never even consider leaving without her brother - but she is thankful for it nonetheless.
