An Update

Hi, It’s me Sxng~ I’m trying to come back. I’ve been gone for nearly 3 months even though I didn’t say anything until recently. This is more of a me update than a blog update, but trust me, I am working on coming back I have some scenarios from the 4th Anniversary that I need to finish and post.

I am doing better, the roommate I mentioned from my DD&SD post is now my boyfriend. I am still struggling with getting used to having carpal tunnel, I have two compression braces that I wear on days where I type more, as I mentioned I am a freelance writer, but I also work at a cafe. Writing creatively had been hard for me, I am still in the middle of a depressive slump, but I am doing my best to pull myself together. Oh! I got a new cat if anyone wants to listen to me rant about how much I fucking hate my neighbor’s daughter send me an ask & I will make that post because holy fucking shit.

I’ll give a short summary of what happened for me to get the cat (his name is Hercules): My neighbor’s daughter has been letting her mother and father struggle to feed themselves and their pets, she refuses to buy food for her own cats, watch her kids, and blames me for her husband not wanting to sleep with her. Her daughter lives with her(my neighbor) for virtually free, they(Neighbor’s daughter, son-in-law & grandkids) eat out every day and refuse to help her parents who are clearly struggling.

Anyway, moving on from my rant about how much I hate my neighbor’s daughter. I am getting better so I felt like giving an update on that, oh, I’m working on a series, but I’m not going to start posting chapters until it is mostly complete, so I’ll focus on having some scenarios/oneshots up for now.

Since I am so inactive I wanna shoutout my friend who is also a fanfic writer here on tumblr: @aniyawoos I talk to her quite often on discord, she listened to my rant about my neighbor’s daughter. She mostly writes about The Boyz.

Demotivation, Disinterest, & Self-destruction

Hi, It’s me Ari Song aka Admin: Sxng. Please, please take the time to read this, I am literally begging. It has been around two years I think since I have made a serious post like this. I’m going to section this into the 3 different things I bring up in the title of this post.

Demotivation:

I have steadily been losing my motivation for this blog since around mid-2018. No one interacts with my blog anymore. I feel like the personality of my blog is gone, I feel like now no matter what I write someone will read it just because it is there. Since it is fanficiton someone will read it, I have been trying to ignore that for around a year. I can’t ignore it anymore, I really can’t. I spent two days near the beginning of August crying because I wasn’t sure when I would be able to write again, but when I came to check on my blog it didn’t matter really.

I’m pretty sure no one noticed I was gone. I didn’t post but one time in July, I made a hiatus post (that I later deleted), but I don’t know if anyone saw it or not, because no one interacted. I didn’t even get an ask. I’m not saying people have to interact with my blog or my personal/update posts, but it really is so disheartening to feel like I don’t matter. Anyone could be writing these posts & it wouldn’t effect anything. For a long time I didn’t understand why I started to feel this way. I do understand why now.

To explain why I started to feel this way I need to talk about intrinsic and extrinsic rewards. When I started this blog, it was, to me an “intrinsic reward” I had a community of people that was relatively small to where I knew most of them. I felt satisfied with my work and I was doing it more for me than I was for others. Somewhere along the line it became more about validation and less about my satisfaction. Which would make it an extrinsic award because I was trying to obtain something. Extrinsic rewards don’t work for me long term. I really feel like I lost part of myself working to make other people happy, I work as a freelance writer too now so I never write for myself anymore.

My freelance writing and my blog feel the same to me. I feel like I’m writing for a client constantly, that is the only way I can think to explain it in simpler words.

Disinterest:

I have become detached from this blog. I became indifferent to it, I stopped putting my all into the scenarios that I wrote, I just wrote them because I felt like I had to. Since they were requests. I really tried to keep myself interested because I love writing. I am not disinterested with writing, I have 3 novels of my own, a collab with my brother, and I’m translating a novel for my Thai friend Sung. I still love to write, I’ve just lost what I like about Pocket-scenarios. I have nostalgia for this blog and I am not giving it up. I just do not know when I will be back or if I will ever get back to the level of interest and care I had for this blog. I did and I do genuinely love this blog. You can look at my masterlist and tell that I do care about this blog, if I didn’t I would not have bothered to set it up the way it is.

I feel like for me to solve my disinterest issue I might have to step away from request work for awhile and focus on posts that I want to make instead.

Self-Destruction:

I am going to give a trigger warning before this part: A suicide attempt is briefly mentioned in this section.

I made this blog in August of 2016, but the original team of admins that I had those being: Myself(Babyboiii), Yuna(WWT), Guiying(WS), Hiroi(FairyTimoteo), and Hua(KF) we had been working together since the end of the previous year. I started writing fanfiction as an escape after a Suicide attempt that happened in October of 2015. I had written some before then, but I started posting it after that attempt. It helped me a lot when I built a community, people would respond to my A’Ns and actually talk to me, it helped me to pull myself back together, I had something to look forward to. 

I am not going to lie I feel like I let this blog consume me too much, I let it get too far to the point that I felt like this blog was all I had. So when my interactivity started to go down, it scared me, I started to lose motivation. When I realized I was becoming demotivated I still kept pushing myself to write, and yeah, the grammar got better, but the actual substance of my scenarios is lacking I can admit that myself. I hated that I was becoming like that and I fell into some bad habits again, I am extremely thankful to my roommate because he has been helping me a lot since my injury and mental decline.

I started to have really bad thoughts last month. I didn’t act on them because, I live with someone else. It is kinda sad that the only reason I did not attempt suicide again was because of him, but I’m also glad he is staying with me for that fact alone. I am not going to dig deeper into my self-destruction I just wanted to briefly go over it.

My Conclusion:

I didn’t check my grammar on this, forgive me. I can hardly type and this took me from the 3rd to the 25th to actually finish typing. What I am going to do is basically I am going to step back, this blog is going to be in indefinite hiatus, or I will be at least.

Song Scenarios

I don’t think I made it clear, but we will always be taking requests for the Song + Idol scenarios, they are not a temporary. If I decide to stop doing them I’ll make sure to state that.

Just make sure you tell me the name of the singer of the song & the group the idol is from. ^^ They do not have to be connected in any way.

New Type Of Series

I wasn’t going to mention these until I actually started posting them or until the next month’s update, but seeing as how I have not been active in posting scenarios, since i have been working on these I will go ahead and explain it. First off, I am going to attempt to do series again, but this is not a regular series.

They’re going to be based from the Stardew Valley/Harvest Moon “Heart Events” If you have never played these types of games basically you have heart events with different bachelors/bachelorettes leading up to a marriage event.

Basically in order the heart events typical go: Black, Purple, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, and then Red. I really want to do this type of series just to have something different on my blog. I’ll give a brief rundown of each stage & the basic formula of the “heart events” which is not set in stone for each one by the way, slight spoiler for them, but Seoho & Hwanwoong’s do not match this at all (for the most part).

🖤 - First Meeting / a new beginning for the pair.

💜 - A week or so of knowing each other, the beginning of a friendship

💙 - The budding of romantic feelings starts in this one

💚 - A confession chapter

💛 - First chapter of them as a couple

🧡 - Further along into their relationship, more development between the reader and the male/female love interest

❤️ - A conclusion could be a proposal or another big event between the two of them in their relationship

Also, if you want feel free to like send an ask telling me what group you’d like to see have one of these series I plan to use ONEUS and ONEWE for the first 2 groups. You don’t have to say a member because all of them are connected in some way (all within the group), it’s just the reader dates a different person depending on which member’s series you depend to read. Right now the groups I plan to do it for are:

I don’t want to just spam these out in a row because I know that would get frustrating to people that do not like any of those four groups so I am hoping to keep some scenarios that are finished in the drafts until I can start posting chapters for these. Keonhee’s should be the first ONEUS one that goes up, Dongmyeong is the first Onewe one, but theirs will not be posted until I finish all 6 of the ONEUS ones. These are basically just regular series, but there isn’t that much drama too them tbh, it really is just the forming of a regular relationship.

I just thought it was a cool idea & I wanted to work on something different I will continue to work on requests, but I really do want to get at least one of these posted or at least get a schedule figured out for how I will vary our posts for these.

February 2020 Update

I changed a lot about the masterlist this past month. Sorry for missing the 7th I’m sick.

Bighit, PLEDIS, and Source all put into one masterlist. The page is still on page 1 I just removed the Pledis page and added their groups to BigHit’s list as well as added Source’s girl group GFRIEND. I moved OnlyOneOf to page one (8D Creative). Anything tagged as “Old Post” is unedited. The posts tagged “Admin: ???” Are posts that I do not know who wrote since they did not put their tag on them and are older. I am working on editing Old posts.

VIXX, AB6IX, and ASTRO pages created. I should have done this a long time ago. I also did some editing to older VIXX & ASTRO posts. Along with that, I added a new content warning for potentially triggering posts. Smut posts are in bold posts with trigger warnings are bolded and italicized. I only currently have one post of that kind because Yuna (WWT) came back randomly with “Counting Pills” Hold Me Tighter - Rowoon is no longer a smut post. I edited it and I just didn’t feel like it suited being smut, so it isn’t. Feel free to send in a Rowoon smut request tho lmao I’ll write it.

While on the topic of admins a former admin Fairytimoteo is back as Wistrya. She will only post occasionally so she’s kinda a part-time admin. Continuing with admins I’ll just give you the rundown of the new admin tags because all my admins hate me and want to make my time here more difficult istg (I’ll include all the past tags as well):

Babyboiii = Sxng WWT = Vector WS = Guiiying JFC/JongPD = KimSoo Inextra = Mitzy FairyTimoteo = Wistrya

The others are still the same those being: Byeul, Moon, DDM, and XunYi. Meaning we have nine admins, which is kinda unbelievable to me tbh. I mean when I started this blog we had a large number ngl, but still, five people have joined since then and we’ve only lost one of the original admins since we are welcoming Hiro back.

January 2020 Update

This is the only month I don’t post on the 7th I guess and that’s because I just decided to do it on my birthday which is January 2nd. I’m 22 now.

I removed Alpha:Bat from the page 3 masterlist as well as The King from Page 2. Girls Day moved to Disbanded Masterlist, I honestly didn’t know they disbanded.

Planetarium (PLT) added to my solo masterlist. I meant to add them back when I got a request for Gaho, but I lost the request and never added them. They’re there now though. One was put back into the solo masterlist, he left YG, no idea what his current label is tbh.

Dongsung from HONEYST was moved back to the FNC masterlist as a member of N.Flying. Please welcome him as a member, I’m really happy to see him again.

Sorry for being so inactive on this blog, I promise that I will continue to post and I will be back throughout this year. I just had a lot going on at the end of 2019, I promise I will get back on track with my posts.

December 2019 Update

 I finished editing all my BTS Posts now time to move onto my SF9 and VIXX Posts!

While on the topic of BTS, we now have a BTS Masterlist page.

Yuna and I did a lot of editing on old posts. We have updated all of our old smut posts, so they are new and different now if you read them before I would recommend checking out the new edits since they are better, in my opinion.

Teen Teen, Nature, Ho1iday, and BVNDIT added to Page 3 masterlist, filling it. Meaning to add more groups I will need to make a new page, but I’m not doing that until I post more about pages 2 & 3 groups. I added another group as well, 3YE was added to GH Ent. just below B.I.G

I made member changes to groups that I noticed have had a lineup change.

Sorry it’s a small update, but I didn’t really do much this month update wise, I am mainly going to focus on page 2 and 3 groups though, that way I can start making pages for them.

November 2019 Update

A lot has happened last month, so I had to make Masterlist changes.

I don’t want to remove Woojin from the SKZ masterlist so I’m not going to. Once they get their own page, though, he will be put in a section listed as “Former Member(s)” the same way I have done Wonho. B.I will be done similarly when iKON gets a page, I still write for all three of them and I’m super sad to see them gone from their groups, I never really addressed Hanbin before because I just chose to ignore it and stopped listening to iKON.

WSJN added to Starship’s masterlist. I just never had them, sorry forgot to put them in last month, Boogie Up is a bop and I realize my mistake.

AB6IX Masterlist page. They have ten posts, each member has their own post, so they meet the requirements for a page. ATEEZ  Masterlist page has also been created.

I edited older posts this month, since I want to have a certain standard of quality on here, not trying to be pretentious I’m just obsessed with everything being a certain way. I am editing all of my old BTS posts, they’re better now. I feel like I need to make this next one giant just because it’s important so you know I am the same person. I was going to have a BTS masterlist this month but I didn’t get around to it.

I’m the most active/creator/main admin so I feel like I just need to make it clear I am not leaving. I am just changing my admin tag, I am the same person. I am Song Ari aka Sxng aka babyboiii. I’ve just outgrown that tag like I regretted it the instant I decided to use it because it seems like a sexual thing and just to clarify it was not.

October Update

It’s the 7th so that means it’s time for me to make an update post.

I added the boyfriend/girlfriend!au posts to the masterlist so they now add into the scenario count which actually pushed it to above 300. We hit 2k followers so I’m keeping requests open all month instead of the first and last weeks, the drabble game is also open. You might have noticed I changed the color scheme and icon image for the blog. It went from being red to maroon and from Taeyong to Seyong of Myname. 

I changed the icon after having the Taeyong one for almost the entire time we’ve been called pocket-scenarios, there was a brief moment that it was blue. I just wanted to change it to a myname member since Myname did inspire the url of this blog, and Myname is one of my favorite groups.

I don’t really have much to say, we don’t take requests for boyfriend/girlfriend!au posts. I do every member for each group I decide to do them for it just takes me a while to get them finished because I don’t want them to sound the same so I have to watch videos of the idol (sometimes not all groups) to get a better feel for them out of a group setting. I also just don’t want to spam them out, I feel like it would get annoying to see one type of post so I try to post them in intervals. I used to take requests for them, but it’s just too much. I promise though that Lou will be the next Boyfriend!au post and Nayeon will be the first girlfriend!au post.

September Update

My brother let me out of the dungeon to make my update post.

I have started to put the number that the post was made in the tags to help me keep up with them so that I don’t get the number messed up anymore. It’s just something I’m doing to help myself, and it probably will not be noticeable to most.

I’m going to (maybe) be reposting the KF scenarios, if you didn’t follow back when that whole mess of an admin war happened, KF basically never wrote anything of her own I wrote them all anyway. So I’m just going to rewrite them and edit them so that they fit in with our current style so that we have more smut on here I guess.

I’m also going to start making more company pages for scenarios and once a company page reaches 40+ scenarios the group with the most will get its own page as well. That’s an idea I’ve had for a while, I just haven’t reached the point to do that yet (SM is getting close though)
