hi y’all. i’ve been in a bit of a mental slump lately but i’m not abandoning angel! my mental health will always be a priority over writing but since writing is also very helpful for me i’d like to get my ass in gear and be here this week. i thank you all for your patience 🩷

hate that so many people woobify angel so much. so much of his character is about his strength despite his circumstances. he doesn’t take shit from people (val excluded, most of the time), he was in the mafia and because of that he’s a great shot who’s swift and effective in combat; we see him carrying what looks like two tommy guns (about 10 pounds each in one hand), two kalashnikovs (roughly 8 pounds each in one hand), and two assault rifles (10.5 pounds each in one hand) with minimal accuracy due to decreased recoil. all together that’s about 57 pounds he’s wielding. AND he’s a pole dancer which means he’s fuckin toned. yes there might be times when he’s softer — he really is a softie at heart — but he likes being able to protect himself, he likes the rush of a fight, and based on what he said to husk in episode 4 (“i didn’t ask for charlie to save me, i didn’t ask for you to save me!”) it’s plain to see that he 1) has trouble accepting help (for many reasons, fear of being a burden, of being seen as weak, for survival reasons, etc) and 2) he doesn’t want to be saved. he wants to save himself.

REASONS TO CUP A FACE. ( A PROMPT LIST. )

[GROUND]: during a moment of intense emotional stress, the sender gently takes the receiver's face in their hands to ground them until they're calmer again.

[WONDER]: unable to comprehend how incredible the receiver is, the sender decides to simply cup their face in their hands and marvel at them instead.

[LAST LOOK]: before going into a situation that may result in their death, the sender takes a moment to cup the unaware receiver's face in their hand, just to take a final look of admiration at them before they go.

[SACRIFICE]: the sender cups the receiver's face tenderly to distract them, right before shoving them out of the way (to safety) and facing an attack alone in order to buy the receiver enough time to escape.

[BELIEF]: in a moment where the receiver is lacking in self-confidence, the sender cups their face tenderly and professes their faith in the receiver's abilities.

[DISBELIEF]: after the receiver has done something completely unexpected (and reckless) the stunned sender cups their face in their hands while trying to get them to explain why the hell they did it.

[BETRAYAL]: trying to keep the receiver calm before the big reveal, the sender cups their face gently to keep them steady, and then reveals that they're the villain.

[WOUND]: after the receiver has been wounded, the sender tries to keep them calm and conscious by cupping their face in their hands and talking to them to keep them focused.

[INJURY]: after having been badly wounded themselves, the sender tries to reassure the frantic receiver by cupping their face and comforting them.

[RAMSAY]: after the receiver commits a culinary crime, the sender presses two slices of bread against either side of their face, cupping their face to hold the bread in place, and calls them an idiot sandwich.

WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH MY CHARACTER? (an ask game!)

Understanding a character’s flaws is key to making them well-rounded and believable, so send me a number (and a character, if there’s more than one option) and I’ll tell you:

a trait they have too much of  (ex. too much pride = arrogance)

a trait they don’t have enough of (ex. too little pride = insecurity)

a trait they express in the wrong way

a trait they’re ashamed of

a trait they’re not ashamed of (but maybe should be)

a bad habit

something they do that hurts themself

something they do that hurts others

a reason (or excuse) they haven’t improved on any of the above OR

a way that they are improving on any of the above!

as a child, anthony had a gap in his teeth. as he grew and hit puberty, he would develop a very small chest, which he would have immense dysmorphia about until he passed. angel has freckles across his shoulders (yes, all sets of them) and cheeks in life but as we know, the ones beneath his eyes are…more eyes — as well as some across the backs of his thighs and his bum. he has a heart shaped birthmark on the right cheek. he does have a fluffy little spider abdomen. when he blushes, it goes down his shoulders to his chest. also, scars can be found on his inner thighs.

this event will be taking place on one of the beaches of gluttony. lucifer uses his abilities to allow sinners to travel there for the duration of the event, but they physically cannot leave the boundaries of the beach that's been sectioned off. several large vintage radios have been scattered along the beach courtesy of our host alastor, who has created a playlist to accompany all your fun in the sun !                                       BEACH DAY BALOOZA PLAYLIST.
