Yes. The act of battling for the sake of nothing but competitive sport is inherently morally awful. It’s been so normalized in society, that people think it’s weird people hate the idea of forcing living creatures to battle against their will, and that is insanely disturbing to me

Been trying to hit the road again since it’s well past noon and I don’t want to spend another night in the Pokémon Center when I don’t have to, but of course, since we are currently up north, someone is trying to get in as much snow time as he can before it melts 😑

Eugh. That cult was full of nothing but lies and actively hurt my cause. They didn't even give a shit about Pokémon, it was run by rich old men who prioritized their own personal power over doing what was right. They didn't even treat either people OR Pokémon well, based on what I read

People keep comparing me to them because they lack the nuisance to realize me wanting a better quality of life for Pokémon does not equal me thinking their "liberation" was an okay thing to do. As much as I want change, I'd never think separation is the right answer

For the record. I have never directly stolen a Pokemon. Alto here is doing a thing called "Slander". Just because I have a record doesn't mean they get to do a crime of their own on top of their moral failings. Literally punching a man when he just showed up

Intro Post

Sup, Rotumblr! Its ya boy, the criminally underrated Pokemon Rights Activist here! (I kid. Mostly)

The name's Jared, and I'm currently roaming the regions, hoping to spread the good word about how bad competitive Pokemon Battles are. They are a terrible practice, and I hope someday my words and action helps Pokemon around the world to escape this suffering that has been normalized for too long. Figured a Rotumblr would be beneficial to that cause as people across the world can see my posts

My bio says Trainers DNI, as I morally disagree with being a registered trainer, however, I am willing for people to break this DNI if they want to engage in honest debate. Don't break this DNI under the guise of debate if you intend to troll, I already deal with trolls and bullies enough in the real world when I do my preaches in public

Aside from my usual preaching the truth, I also occasionally post my Pokemon friends and just the mundanes of daily life. Hope people enjoy reading what I say! (OOC under the cut)

Hi Rotumblr! My name is Peter (He/It), and my main account is @/JaredTheBC! PokeJared is my most used Pokemon OC, so I figure it would be fun to try joining Rotumblr! I'm very new to Tumblr RP, so apologies if I get something wrong!

Just as a disclaimer. In my fan universe, PokeJared is written as an antagonist, and is canonically an annoying and harsh hypocrite. I do not condone like, the VAST majority of his actions lol, anything bad he says is in the context of a flawed fictional character and isn't my own words

In terms of names. In universe, his name is Jared, but when I'm talking about him OOC, I tend to refer to him as PokeJared since my name irl is also Jared. He isn't a self insert, he started off that way but he quickly became his own character. I do ask if people refer to me the person to call me Peter, just to avoid confusion
