Pokemon TCG: ReBurst (Pilot Part 1)

There was a time where all it took was one good trainer to change the world for the better. All of that went downhill when all the regions attacked each other: many say it was grudges of the past, some say it was a hidden chemical war spilled public, others say the world could no longer hold the imbalance of peace and drove them mad. Countless lives were loss, none of the Pokemon made it and any that may have hidden themselves never to trust man again; but they live on through cards. Billions of them printed: Pokemon, Trainers, Items, Places; all in the memory of the life that once was. The regions rebuilt and people would still battle, but those who came to power sought to limit the knowledge of the people, this caused a grand battle for the fate of the Pokemon world's new way of life. Which is where we'll begin.

"You're not leaving here undeleted, Mewtwo, you've gone too far!!" Eusie yelled at the hulking monstrosity before her.

After the death of his close friend at the hands of a rival, he decided to pair himself with the MissingNo virus and destroy everything.

Mewtsingno shuffled his deck, "I'll destroy you all with what she loved the most!" Eusie shuffled her deck, "You've hated mankind since your creation, we don't hate you, but you will be stopped.

Mewtsingno placed Latias EX as his Active Pokemon.

Eusie placed Ralts as her Active Pokemon.

Mewtsingno's Turn (#1) Mewtsingno drew a card and put Hoopa onto the Bench.

Then played Random Receiver

And drew Acerola

"I have no need to attack, I'll simply exhaust you." Mewtsingno said as he continued by playing Trick Shovel to discard her top card from her Deck.

Mewtsingno played Team Rocket's Handiwork and flipped two coins.

Both coins landed on Heads, which discarded the top 4 cards from her Deck.

Eusie's Turn (#2) She didn't let the loss of a few cards shake her and drew a card, and played Great Ball.

And drew Gardevoir EX which she put onto the Bench.

"Yes.", She said as she played another Great Ball and drew Mega Gardevoir.

Eusie attached a Double Colorless Energy to Gardevoir EX.

"Time to change the field.", she played Fairy Garden.

Mewtsingno's Turn (#3) Mewtsingno drew a card and put Aegislash EX onto the Bench.

Mewtsingno played Tierno and drew 3 cards.

Eusie's Turn (#4) Eusie drew a card and attached a Rainbow Energy to Gardevoir EX and it took 10 damage from the effect.

"You're bluffing not having any Energy, you're up to something.", she said as she played Mega Gardevoir EX from her hand to evolve Gardevoir EX.

Mewtsingno's Turn (#5) Mewtsingno drew a card and played Caitlin, put three cards from his hand to the bottom of his Deck and drew three cards.

Then played VS Seeker and added a Supporter card from the Discard Pile to his hand.

"Why should I be so anxious when I'm absolute on your destruction?"

Eusie's Turn (#6) Eusie drew a card attached a Double Colorless Energy to Ralts, then played Switch--

And made Mega Gardevoir EX her Active Pokemon, then attacked with Brilliant Arrow and did 30 damage to Mewtsingno's Latias EX. "Nothing is absolute, not even destruction."

Mewtsingno's Turn (#7) Mewtsingno drew a card and played Cassius and shuffled Latias EX into his deck.

Then made Aegislash EX his Active Pokemon.

Eusie's Turn (#8) "How cowardly of you, over a little damage." Eusie drew a card and played Timer Ball and drew Kirlia.

Then played Kirlia from her hand to evolve Ralts.

Mega Gardevoir EX used its Brilliant Arrow attack but it failed. "What-- Mighty Shield."

Eusie's in a tough spot now, it seems Mewtsingno has found a way for his Pokemon to not be damaged by attacks. Can Eusie find a way around this? And can she figure out why Mewtsingno seemingly has no Energy and not attacking?

Pokemon TCG: ReBurst (Pilot Part 2)

Last we saw Eusie was determined to defeat Mewtsingno before he destroyed everything. Mewtsingno has Aegislash EX as his Active Pokemon with Hoopa on the Bench and Eusie has Mega Gardevoir EX as her Active Pokemon with Kirlia on the Bench. As Eusie is faced with the dilemma of Aegislash EX's Mighty Shield, we continue.

Mewtsingno's Turn (#9) Mewtsingno drew a card and played Trick Shovel to discard another card from the top of Eusie's deck.

Then played Tierno to draw three more cards.

Eusie's Turn (#10) "I need another Pokemon." Eusie drew a card and played Gardevoir GX from her hand to evolve Kirlia.

Mewtsingno's Turn (#11) Mewtsingno drew a card and played Professor Birch's Observations, flipped a tails and drew 4 cards.

Then played another Trick Shovel, a smirk almost dared to cross his face.

Eusie's Turn (#12) Eusie drew a card and played Hau and drew three more cards.

"Yes, this is perfect.", As she put Mew EX onto the Bench.

Then played Nest Ball to put Cutiefly onto the Bench.

Mewtsingno's Turn (#13) Mewtsingno drew a card and put Wailord EX onto the Bench. 

Then played Hugh--

Eusie drew 1 card and Mewtsingno drew 3 cards.

Eusie's Turn (#14) Then the realization hit Eusie, "He's trying to make me deck out." Eusie drew a card and played Ribombee from her hand to evolve Cutiefly--

and used its Honey Gather Ability to draw 2 Fairy Energy, she attached one to Mew EX. Then played Level Ball and drew another Cutiefly. With her resolve unshaken she retreated Mega Gardevoir EX and made Mew EX her Active Pokemon and used Twilight GX to shuffle 10 cards from the Discard Pile into the Deck.

Mewtsingno's Turn (#15) Mewtsingno drew a card and played Team Rocket's Handiwork and flipped two tails.

Eusie's Turn (#16) Eusie drew a card and attached a Fairy Energy to Mew EX and used Infinite Force and did 60 damage to Mewtsingno's Aegislash EX. "A breakthrough, your gimmick is up."

Mewtsingno's Turn (#17) Mewtsingno drew a card and played VS Seeker to get Team Rocket's Handiwork out the discard pile to play it again which he did, and flipped one heads which discarded two cards from the top of Eusie's deck.

Eusie's Turn (#18) Eusie drew a card and used Ribombee's Honey Gather Ability to draw two Fairy Energy. Eusie attached a Fairy Energy to Mew EX, the Mew EX used Infinite Force and did 90 damage to Mewtsingno's Aegislash EX.

Mewtsingno's Turn (#19) Mewtsingno drew a card and played Max Potion and healed Aegislash EX for 150 HP.

Then played Professor Birch's Observations and flipped heads to draw seven cards from his Deck. He put a Hoopa onto the Bench.

Eusie's Turn (#20) Eusie drew a card and attached a Fairy Energy to Mew EX then used Infinite Force and did 120 damage to Mewtsingno's Aegislash.

Mewtsingno's Turn (#21) Mewtsingno drew a card and played Acerola while he smirked and made Hoopa his Active Pokemon.

Then played Trick Shovel to discard the top card from Eusie's deck. He ended his turn after playing VS Seeker.

Eusie's Turn (#22) Eusie drew a card and attached a Fairy Energy to Ribombee and played a Nest Ball to put Xerneas onto the Bench. 

She used Ribombee's Honey Gather Ability to draw two Fairy Energy from her deck. "Is it cowardice that makes you withdraw? I see your Hoopa's Scoundrel Guard " She retreated Mew EX and made Ribombee her Active Pokemon. Then Ribombee used Pollen Shot and did 20 damage to Mewtsingno's Hoopa.

Mewtsingno's Turn (#23) Mewtsingno drew a card and put Aegislash EX onto the Bench then played Caitlin to put four cards at the bottom of the deck and draw four from the top.

Mewtsingno then put Latias EX onto the Bench.

Eusie's Turn (#24) Eusie drew a card and attached a Fairy Energy to Xerneas and then Ribombee used Pollen Shot and did 20 damage to Mewtsingno's Hoopa.

Mewtsingno's Turn (#25) Mewtsingno drew a card and played Team Flare Grunt.

The rest of the battle became a series of ring around the rosy that resulted in: Hoopa being Knocked Out by Xerneas Rainbow Spear attack, Aegislash EX being Knocked Out by Mew EX Brilliant Arrow attack, and Latias EX and Wailord EX being Knocked Out by Mega Gardevoir EX Brilliant Arrow attack. These all wounded Mewtsingno severely.

"You may have defeated me but I'll destroy myself to end you all!!", Mewtsingno roared as he started to self destruct.

"I knew it would come to this, I'm glad I got everything in order before doing this.", Eusie said as she begin to glow as she held her card in the air.

"ReBurst!!!", A bright blast of light revealed she has turned into Mega Gardevoir. "You will be stopped!!"

She charged up a huge Brilliant Arrow attack, one large enough to consume Mewtsingno. It worked but at a cost, an explosion that incinerated the entire Dome. It was a huge loss, especially for her son Tsu, who wished he could've put together why she had been acting so strangely and why she had been telling him so much he didn't know. Does life continue for Tsu and the rest of the Pokemon World?

Pokemon VBN: Introduction

Welcome to New Holon(formerly Holon, TCG Island), by now you've realized that the Pokemon population is no more; it's been years since but they live on through cards. Most of history was lost to radiation and destruction of war; Holon Research Tower is in ruins, Mirage Forest, Holon Lake, Mountain Range, Mysterious Island, and Distant Island Chain(Southern Islands) is all restricted research areas. But thanks to the introduction of the new VBN(Virtual Battling Network) created by the collaboration of remaining scientist in their old age a great amount of it was salvage and made into cards, and the cards have come to life. Of course not real life but on the VBN, it's given New Holon a new livelyhood. Decks are scanned and each Pokemon is given an AI, you can interact with it, you have to be careful how you treat your cards though. Then there's rotations, and if your cards are not in the current you can't play them at any official Clubs or at the Dome; but they're still playable everywhere else, some can even be converted to a different expansion for fairness and convenience sake. You're not new to the this, but you don't play and after years of people trying to convince you, you decide-- You're ready.

Pokemon VBN (Vol.1 Ch.1)

"I know what I saw, it was Pokemon! A real Pokemon!", a young voice yelled. Then a bright flash. "Regardless of whether he saw it or not, he seemed pretty upset about not being believed.", Professor Aeron handed the young lady professor a card.

"You aren't suppose to know about these things, but if he saw something; he's gonna be something special. This'll be useful to him. I best get back to work, I'll see you later.", he rushed back down the hallway. 10 Years Later

"Yeah! I got it, my third one.", Tsu cheered as he logged out. His friend Cin rushed him, "Will you hurry up?! It stinks here!" Just as she had warned him and he jumped down from the maintenance hatch, security showed up. "RUN!!" They barely made it out of the gate without being identified, and hopped on Tsu's Pokecycle and took off. 10 minutes later "We made it." Tsu stopped in front of Cin's group home, "You know, my mom wouldn't mind you staying with us; you'll never be bored, she's always building something when she's not running the inn." Cin frowned at him, "I already told you, I'm fine here, I don't want to go anywhere if I can't take all my friends with me." "I'll just have to build a big house onto the inn.", Tsu smiled and Cin's frown melted. "We're not together.", she said while blushing and walking away quickly. "We've been not together for eight years!", Tsu said before driving off.

Pokemon VBN (Vol. 1 Ch. 2)

Koji looked at the multiple screens on his office desk, "This isn't right, they're holding back history." He looked over at the silver picture frame of his grandfather's picture, "All your hard work, they're wasting it; well no more." He looked at his card from him.

He opened his communicator and called to Anuja, she answered, "Finally fed up, I see. Welcome back, boss. What's the plan?" They've had been co-workers at Holon Co. for years but when their research started to get into the recent past it was deleted and they were fired for wanting to release all the findings of their research and expand the VBN exponentially. Had it not been for Anuja's quick thinking and expertise on coding to back up all their data to a card it would have all been lost.

She had been building resources and looking for the chance to strike Holon Co. but she refuse to without Koji. Especially after he slumped into a spiraling depression, and would just monitor Holon Co. through a hacked feed. She thought she'd lost him like his grandfather before him, but hearing his voice again assured her nothing was in vain. Koji smiled, "They've begun to expand? the VBN, let's make them question what's being withheld from them. I need a inside man and a Holon Co. uniform." "Right away.", she hung up and begin sorting the open database of active resumes.

Pokemon VBN (Vol. 1 Ch. 3)

She had enough, day after day of putting up of being pushed around, being told what to do and say. So she drowned him in acid, drowned his smug face, and all it took was a concrete block. What was the final straw was when he took her card from her.

"I'm surprised he didn't try to rip it.", Kenyanna said as she set the pool for Clean. He had gave her the card as a start of their relationship together. She knew an affair had been going with a co-worker at Holon Co. but didn't care, the VBN was her escape from him. Her deck was optimal, at least to her and that was more than enough, nothing will stop her confidence anymore.

"I know there's tons of people that'll be sad I killed you first, Dal.", She said as she walked back into the house. Just then the phone rang, she hurried and answered. "Hello." "Hi, there. This is--" "Anuja, how are you?" "Good, are you alone?" "I kicked him out, I haven't seen him in months." "Have you reported it?" It might be a little extra trouble if the New Holon Police stepped in. "I could care less; it's just a missing persons report, they'll just tell me to have him served, you found some work for me?", Kenyanna continued. "Actually yes, yes I did. It's for New Holon Museum, a Database Technician." "What all will I be doing?" "Getting data from the director and then bringing it to Holon Co. where you will update their History archives and maintaining them." "So I'm snail mail, Anuja? Really?" "You're helping shape New Holon's future, it's not just any data, it's what they make cards from." "Are you kidding?!", Kenyanna nearly busted Anuja's eardrum, "I'll take it, but what's the catch?" "The director... You might know him." "Koji.", Anuja's silence confirmed her thoughts, "That's what he's been reduced to. Don't worry, no qualms, it's a job." Anuja grinned, "Awesome, log onto the VBN and fill out the paperwork, I'll send my Proygon." They both hung up, both with huge grins on their face. A laugh came from Kenyanna before logging in, "It's not too soon to be interested in someone else, I know I feel like it. Sorry, Anuja, you're too professional with him. I have more than enough for an organization all my own, and I can bribe the rest." Through the wires and network in front of Anuja's monitor she chuckled, "You have no idea how long I've waited to get you." A Grunt walked into her office, "Your orders?" "Follow this applicant.", she said handing him the file. "Theta!", said the Grunt while holding a salute. "Theta.", Anuja said firmly. As the symbol show proudly on their badge.

Pokemon VBN (Vol. 1 Ch. 4)

The radio blared as the small plane started to land, "The VBN has now expanded, log on to designated sites around the city to see what exciting new history and Pokemon are available, we have added two new servers(Kanto and Jhoto). Also, the Club Leaders are now taking challenges, but be mindful that these battles are different from the past. Be first to collect the Club Medals for a chance to compete against the Grand Masters. "

"You hear that, Partner!", Himmel said while turning off the engine. "A chance at some real battles." 

He signalled to the woman to his plane. "New information from the field, ma'am, say-- you're new." Kenyanna scowled at him, "That's no way to greet the new processor." Himmel scratched his head, "So that's what you call yourself, the last person called it being a gofer." Himmel didn't have time to react, the slap left a ringing in his ears. "Just hand it over, keep your opinions to yourself.", still scowling while scanning her card.

If looks could kill it would be her second murder. Himmel figured anyone who had the gall to hit him and not know him was a fairly brave person indeed.

"I'm interested.", he said handing her the discs. This could be a good prospect for her, a runner for her plans if she could befriend him. So she arranged to meet him briefly outside of work, before he flew back out.

Pokemon VBN (Vol. 1 Ch. 5)

New Holon Hospital Tsu had been sitting at the side of Cin's bedside waiting for her to wake up. She turned her head from him when she woke up. "It was an accident, I fell in." Tsu didn't buy it, wouldn't buy it, and couldn't; not anymore. Out of everyone in her group home, she's the only one that keeps having these "accidents" on account of the others there. He was fed up with it, what kind of friend he would be if he left her like this only to go back and risk her getting hurt again and again? "You're coming home with us.", Tsu said quickly and just as quick as she turned her head around he continued. "Mom's already working out the details with New Holon Police and the group home, you don't have to worry about them anymore." This made her angry of course, "Are you nuts, they'll shut the whole home d--" He interrupted her, "It's not shutting down, but you're staying with us while they investigate. If it weren't for the water in that well you'd be dead. I'm sorry, but I can't sit here and do nothing, understand?" She looked down at the table.

"Is this their way of apologizing? Or are they still making fun of me?"

Tsu looked at her and the card, "They found it on you when you came in. I thought it had been one of the staff, but you can exchange it for another." "No, you're right, it's time I do something for myself for once. This will be my reminder never to go backwards or make excuses for anyone anymore. Thank you.", she said looking at her card. She had never been registered to the VBN, now she had a reason to do more and be more, not just for others but herself. Just then Tsu's mother Eusie came in, the smiles on their face was met with a nod.

Pokemon VBN (Vol. 1 Ch. 6)

Kenyanna paced back and forth on a screen broadcasting in a private line on the VBN to what looked like a huge crowd of Pokemon on the VBN (other people logged in to the broadcast). "HERE!! WE CARE NOT WITH THE VIRTUAL ASPECT OF THE VBN BUT WE WILL USE IT!! We have resources, we have the cards, I'm adding them to the database and servers everyday. And as for this so called Team Theta, THEY WOULD HAVE PEOPLE THINK POKEMON COULDN'T EXIST IN REALITY!! THEY LIE!! The more research is found the more evident it is that they don't want people to know, not all of it." She paused for quick second and noticed a Pokemon in the mist with a cloak on. She hurriedly dismissed the meeting and all of them gave their salute of "DELTA!" and gave them the location to meet next time. They waited a while until they knew the connection was clear. "How are you, Mewtwo?

The cloak vanished off Mewtwo as he turned to her, "Ownerless, Rare, Great if I wasn't being hunted down; the system considers me viral."

Kenyanna was just happy to see the real Mewtwo right in front of her, it's been ages; but he dare not tell her how he uploaded himself to a network. "Tell me what you found." Mewtwo looked at her sternly, "I feel your pursuit will put you in danger, you're being monitored and I severed their connection before you began the broadcast." "Looks like I'll just have to clean my pool again.", Kenyanna said after a giggle. Mewtwo has been there for quite some time in Kenyanna life. Even times when Mewtwo would glitch stuff in the house on her husband when he did her wrong; and when her husband got worse Mewtwo wanted to kill him, but she beat him to it. The change in her capacity to kill both confused and interested Mewtwo. His thoughts were broken when a small alarm sounded. "That would be the anti-viruses, be cautious, Kenyanna.", he said before jumping back onto the network and vanishing.
