Sorry I haven’t updated this tumblr in a while, I’m bad at social media. I posted a little update on Relic Castle a few days ago. http://reliccastle.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=8&page=16 My plan is to just finish the rest of the mapping for the game, which is just a couple towns and routes at this point. Then I can go through and event the rest of the game and hopefully, HOPEFULLY, have it done this year. No promises though cause I suck. Have a nice day thanks for reading!

Hey, man, loving your game, I just have a bit of a problem. I tried evolving my Machoke with an Astral Stone and when Machamp appears on the screen, the game crashes and a small error window pops up saying that "#087 Cry unavailable" or something like that. Pokemon 087 is Dewgong so I don't know how the two relate. But yeah, as far as I'm concerned, it's impossible to get a Machamp :/ I reset the game and evolved him again to see if it was a coincidence but the same error occurred.

Hey yeah I actually figured out the problem. For some reason, the file name is messed up for the cry. So, if you go into the games audio folder, then the SE folder, find “087Cry.wav” or whatever the file extension is. There’s an extra space between the end of the file name and the period before “wav”. Delete that extra space, and it’ll fix the problem. Also, this is Machamps cry, because it’s number 87 in the Obsidian Dex, Dewgong is 87 in the National Dex haha. So when Machoke evolved, it would look for the cry of 087, but I messed up the name, which caused the game to crash. Thanks for bringing this to my attention, hopefully this helps other people!

What do you think about a Reddit or/and a Wiki Page for Pokemon Obsidian? What do you think about a Twitch Channel (like the Pokemon Uranium Project for Showing Gameplay, Spriting progress...)?

If there’s any pages made for my game, I want to be the one to run them. I don’t really care about making a subreddit or wiki page, I don’t see a need for them really. And I have a twitch channel where I do streams of me working on either obsidian or another game every once in a while which can be found here : http://www.twitch.tv/atomicreactor93And I’m more than welcome to anyone uploading LP’s or anything like that, I just ask that they link to the download video so people are getting the downloads from the right source!

hey there! i'm playing obsidian and i think im stuck. i tried to do the ranger quest where you buy a woman an awakening that she wants to use on her son. i did this, gave it to her, and tried to select a new quest but it said i needed to grab the reward for the one about the awakening. [i tried claiming a reward and it said there was none] can you help me?

That's a bug in the latest release that can't be fixed without me releasing an entirely new version. It'll be fixed in the final release, sorry !

Haven't been working on Obsidian as much as I should be lately, but here's a little update of stuff that's been done since the demo release (sadly not much).

As you venture north from Route 8, after getting the 5th badge (end of most recent demo) you go through Ayre Passage, which is a slippery mountain and cave system, very frigid. You end up in Diamondpeak Town, which serves as more of a pit stop than an actual story progression.

Pokemon Obsidian Possible Windows 8 fix?

Hey guys! I know I haven't updated you in a while, and I apologize, BUT! Someone may have found a fix to the Windows 8 issue (crashes after a certain point in trainer battles). It seems to be connected to the music file of trainer battles. SO, if you go into the /audio file and then /BGM, delete the TrainerBattle.mid file! (that should be the correct one) This will make it so there is no trainer battle music unfortunately, but at least people can play the game! [Please share this if you know anyone who has tried to play that has Windows 8] [Also let me know if this applies to you and works/does not work]

Most pokemon that evolve via trade can be evolved by using an Astral Stone, a new item in Pokemon Obsidian
