It's still so difficult to believe that Jakob actually had a child of his own, let alone a child like... Dwyer. That isn't to say that there's anything about Dwyer Flora finds unbecoming or unsuitable ( despite the horrid things she's heard him say about his own son ) but that he's just so different from his father. Flora has always been fond of Jakob, despite herself, but in this respect, she can definitely say the difference is for the better. Dwyer is a sweet boy, even with his dour personality and unkempt appearance. Whenever she crosses paths with him, she's always sure to try to make sure he tidies up a bit.
There's an implicit trust and understanding between the two of them, not only as fellow servants, but as Flora sort of sees him as a nephew or godson of sorts. She's very fond of him for this reason and tries to look after him where she can, and even if she can't be too defensive of him when he's criticized, she's always sure to try to perk up his day a bit afterwards with a cup of tea.

He's certainly easy on the eyes, isn't he? Flora isn't sure what to think of him quite yet—their interactions within the academy walls have been few and far between, so there's only a whisper of any real relationship there, but she can't say that she's not intrigued. Refined and princely, but there's also an unmistakable kindness to him.
That, and the way he holds himself... Flora would be loathe to rush to any conclusions about a man she hardly knows, but she has the slightest inkling that he, too, shoulders a burden of regret and remorse for past actions. She's not sure why, but she sees that part of herself in him.
For now, she's quietly interested.

“Ah...!”   Flora lets out a sharp breath the moment her eyes land on what appears to be an imminent disaster, only waiting to happen: Lord Dimitri, handling what seems to be far too many dishware  ( fragile, breakable dishware... )  for him to hold at once, the pile teetering precariously as he walks towards her.  Fortunately, past experience informs her and she’s quick to act — abruptly diving to catch the plates right at the very moment that they wobble too far and fall towards the ground.  Flora catches each and every one with startling grace, standing back upright to gently place the plates down on a nearby table for the time-being.
Thank goodness...  She hasn’t her lost her touch.  Frankly, she’s not sure what she might have done if anything else had been broken.  The first time, it had also been merely an accident — seemingly the work of Lord Dimitri’s incredible strength, crushing a porcelain cup in his hands without meaning to.  Absently, she can’t help but wonder what it must be like to possess such raw power...  It’s one thing she’s almost envious of.
But still, that’s the second time.  Handling Felicia’s misadventures during their years as Lady Corrin’s maids has served well in making her patient, particularly with someone she doesn’t know well like Lord Dimitri, but it’s still a bit frustrating nonetheless when their cover is on the line.  And perhaps the distance between the two of them is all the more reason for her to be annoyed — Felicia, for all her faults, is still her beloved little sister. Who is Lord Dimitri to her but yet another rotten noble, the prince of Faerghus, heir to a throne whose influence he likely couldn’t even fathom?  He seems amicable and apologetic enough, but she still can’t help but feel wary.
Tumblr media
Flora turns to face the prince-turned-attempted-butler and hides any unsightliness she might be feeling, plastering a polite smile on her expression.   “That was a close one,”   she laughs lightly.   “Um...  Lord Dimitri, perhaps you should leave cleaning up the dining area up to me, alright?  I’m sure there’s something else we can have you do.  What... are your talents, if I may ask?”
❝ i can’t let go when something’s broken.
mission:   pearlescent,     any skill +1.

⋆˙⟡   plotting call! flora is an unaffiliated member of faculty, so she's available for any of the prompts, regardless of your muse's affiliation. you can reach out via tumblr ims or through discord (my username is jundori, you can either dm me privately or ping me in the plotting channel for the toa) server. looking forward to writing!
riding +1: flora is definitely not the snoopy or criminally-inclined type, but i can imagine her accidentally trespassing onto madame duval's property while trying to work. she's trained as a house servant first and foremost, but she definitely knows how to garden and might have accidentally wandered into this garden while she was caught up in it. and whatever your muse's reason for being there, they're united in their same cause: getting the hell out of there. maybe a bit of snooping isn't out of the question either, though.
faith +1: flora is well-acquainted with the more sordid ways of nobility. it's nothing new to her, and she's already an expert in the delicate art of Minding Your Own Business, so this would probably require a more justice-minded muse for her to try to reel back in. or maybe they could motivate her with a call to action and actually convince her to fight back against the corruption?
reflective: predictably, flora will be working at the charity gala as a barmaid. she's equipped with a silver tongue and a penchant for getting good information out of people though, so she'll be a helpful ally to work with in schmoozing the clientele.
sword +1: a similar case as the prior prompt. flora isn't at the wedding as an attendee, but simply someone working there, waiting tables and helping people where necessary. she's not much of a romantic herself, so she's hardly interested in the affairs of the groom and bride, and she couldn't care less what way the wedding goes... but a little conversation while this is going on couldn't hurt.
fortune teller: honestly, flora doesn't believe a word of it. she certainly believes in the idea of reading fortunes, but this particular instance screams of duplicity. she's here to prove that it's a sham, but if your muse is curious about getting their fortune read, well... she guesses it couldn't hurt to satisfy her curiosity, even if she intends to give this la luna a real piece of her mind afterwards!
