Bet none of you goobers can guess what Star Wars crossover/fusion I'm drawing right now.

I get a TON of messages asking about Leia in every single one of my Star Wars AUs, so I wanna just give you guys a general gist of why Leia and Vader/Anakin relationships in my AU 's is usually not the best.

Leia was raised by her adoptive father Bail, so she doesn't have that same longing for a father figure like Luke does. She loved Bail with all her heart, and I think she would feel like she was betraying that love by simply replacing him with Vader/Anakin.

There's also the fact that Leia is no way near as forgiving as Luke is, because in a way, Leia is just like her father. She has a short, sharp, temper, and she can hold grudge for a looooong time if she wants.

So telling her she needs to make nice with the man that helped destroy her planet, killed thousands of her comrades, and was a murder machine for the Empire, wasn't an option for her, and she would offer no forgiveness. As far as Leia is concerned, Vader dug his own grave and she's more than happy to watch him fall into it.

HOWEVER I can see this viewpoint changing as she got older, but it would take a lot of time and effort of Luke's part to help her through. He would need to tell her about Anakin/Vader's life and the undeniable tragedy that happened to their family at the hands of Sideous.

I think the anger insider her would slowly simmer over time, especially with the new information she has. In a small way she could relate to her father's desperation to the keep the ones he loved safe, but in the end he suffered immensely for it, something that made her feel bitter and sad.

This is also why I never just like making Leia a Jedi. Sure, I don't mind Luke teaching her a few tricks, but I always loved the fact that she was the only normal one in the family, like she was the only one who was able to have a healthy and functioning life.

Her passions lie in politics too like her mother anyway, and she honestly looks cooler firing a blaster, cause like, who has time for that fancy sword work shit when you can just shoot the guy!

I could also see her freeing Tatooine's slaves as a tribute to her father, almost like an olive branch, to say I may not forgive you yet, but I understand.

As for how Vader/Anakin would feel about Leia? GUILT. Just straight up consent guilt. He knows she hates his guts and she has every right too, so he does his best to stay out of her way and not bother her. Would he love to have a better relationship with her? Absolutely, but he also feel like he doesn't deserve it.

So if hating him is what makes her happy, than so be it, Anakin/Vader will carry that burden for her no problem. Besides, He's lucky enough to have Luke, who adores him for some reason.

DragonHeart AU

Wanted to show the color of Anakin's fire breath, as well as the underside of his wings, which only glow blue like this when he's using his flames.

-Anakin's fire is hot enough to instantly melt any metal, but if he uses it too much he'll get tired and need to find something to eat in order to recharge.

-This also shows how Anakin uses his wing to help compensate for his missing front leg when he's walking on the ground.

DualityReboot AU

((This part was totally inspired by the one panel in the Vader comics (⌐■_■)))

-Every day for Anakin is beginning to feel like hell. He trying so damned hard to keep himself from cracking, to not jut start screaming in rage over the despair he feels about his current situation and how damned isolating it is. It's getting to the point where he doesn't care which reality he gets stuck in at this point, he just wants it all to stop.

-It doesn't help that Vader is always lurking right under his skin, ready at any second to burst through and tear himself and everyone around him apart. It sickens Anakin even more when he realizes how tempted he is to just do it, to just let the darkness consume him, and accept his damned fate as a monster.

-He manages to last month before it finally crumbles all around him.

-The Separatists had swarmed Anakin's and Obi-Wan's battalion with droids, which was normal to say the least, what was not normal was the massive squad of humanoid solders that quickly ambushed them afterwards.

-Obi-Wan arm was wounded, many clones were injured or dead, and everyone, including Ashoka were extremely exhausted. They've been fighting non stop for days, and while droids weren't easy to kill, they were certainly easier to kill than humanoids.

-Worst part is that Anakin knows he's lived this situation before, as Vader, so as the soldier's raise their blasters, fingers pressed against their triggers to fire, Anakin let's himself finally fall.

-The first thing Obi-Wan's feels, is that his bond with Anakin has been completely closed off. The second thing he feels is an all consuming darkness. It covers the entire area like a fog, suffocating everything around it with it's hatred to the point in which Obi-Wan himself was having difficulty breathing.

-His thoughts cease as the sound of blaster fire echo around them but their deadly impact does not follow. Instead, the beams of plasma hover harmlessly in the air around Obi-Wan and clones, that is until Anakin flexes his fingers and propels them back into the mass of frantic solders that fired them.

-Dozens of the men die from impact, but not all, so Anakin gracefully leaps from his perch and marches towards the enemy like a predator who's finally cornered his prey, and starts killing.

-It's horrifying how blase Anakin acts is in the ensuing massacre. Cutting down men like he was swatting insects or lifting them up with the force before violently smashing them back into the ground, his face fluctuating between silent rage and resignation.

-It only stops when the solders start to flee. Anakin stills as the humanoids scramble over the rocks to get away, screaming in horror and fear as the run. For a moment, no one moves or says anything in response, and then Anakin finally turns back to face Obi-Wan.

-His eyes are golden red and his light saber is died crimson, but all Obi-Wan can focus on is the sheer devastation and despair that is etched onto Anakin's face.

-Suddenly Anakin grips his chest, his breaths suddenly coming out in short, labored gasps, as blood starts to weep from his eyes. He takes one last frantic look at Obi-Wan before his vision fades completely and he collapses.

-Obi-Wan catches him before he hits the ground.

This is a reboot of the Duality AU!

Only week after their visit to the planet Mortis, Anakin begins having very vivid nightmares of his future as Darth Vader.

Every night when he goes to sleep, he instantly wakes up trapped in the hellish suit, where every living moment is absolute agony. His body is burnt, his limbs are gone, and his lungs tremble with every breath, but it's nothing compared to the overwhelming despair and anger he feels festering inside him.

He cannot control his actions as Vader, seemingly on auto pilot as he experiences the day to day life of a ruthless Sith Lord and as Sideous plaything. He can't even see Sideous's true face in his dreams, his tormentor's face is always shadowed by darkness, and his voice is distorted beyond recognition.

The nightmares only stop when Vader goes to meditate, allowing Anakin to wake back up. It's horribly disorienting, and Anakin sometimes awakens with golden eyes, trembling and vomiting as he's slammed back into reality. Every morning he needs time to calm down, or at least wait until the yellow fades from his eyes as he adjusts to being Anakin again.

Anakin hesitantly dismisses the first couple of nightmares, but when he begins to experience them every single night, it's starts to freak him out. Being told you had the potential to become a monster is one thing, but living it out every night is another, and Anakin is afraid for himself, and everyone around him.

He even tries not to sleep at one point to avoid the dreams, but he always passes out eventually, usually only able to last for two days.

He feels like he can't tell anyone either, as he doesn't want to prove that the Council was right about him being dangerous. He can't even begin to imagine what Obi-Wan would do or think of him if he told him. Would Obi-Wan kill him? Would Padme still love him? Would Ashoka abandon him?

So Anakin tells no one and tries to act normal, tries to pretend every day that he's not living two separate lives, one as a Hero of the Republic, and one as the Sith Lord of the Empire.

It goes about as well as you think.

Dragonheart AU

Here's some random Dragon Anakin stuff!

In Order to return to human form, Anakin must be calm and relaxed, but that's a hard thing to achieve when you're in the middle of a war. That's why more often than not, Anakin usually only transforms back into his human self again when he passes out, or manages to fall asleep.

-He's in no danger of transforming while flying since he'll instinctively land before the change can happen, but flying is a good way for him to get rid of his excess/nervous energy that he's always plagued with, especially after a nasty fight.

-The most embarrassing aspect of this whole affair is that Anakin's clothes don't change with him, meaning when he transforms back into human again, he's butt ass naked. Thankfully Obi-Wan usually gives Anakin his cloak or Rex manages to find a blanket for him to cover up before he can lose the majority of his dignity.

-That being said, it's not an uncommon sight to see Obi-Wan carrying a passed out Anakin on his shoulder's, wrapped up in a blanket as they make their way from the hanger, considering it's the only place big enough on the ship to house Anakin in his dragon form.

-Dragon Anakin can talk, but his voice has a deep, distorted echo to it. It's also okay for him eat in any form as it's usually converted very quickly to energy to fuel his transformations. However if he does eat too much he will throw it up before hand.

-Anakin's scales deflect blaster fire and most lasers, even a lightsaber will not cut through his scales unless it hits the same spot, multiple times. His major weakness though is water, as he unable to swim properly with his missing arm and large wings.

Dragonheart AU (Not the movie lol)

Dragon Anakin AU reboot time!

Late into the Clone Wars, Anakin and Obi-Wan are sent to a planet to search for Count Dooku's whereabouts. They manage to find an old cave filled with various statues and books, all seemingly normal until they come across a small statue in the corner that reeks of the Dark side.

Obi-Wan is very cautious at first, testing for any traps or ill intent before he hesitantly grabs the idol. He would rather not touch it at all, but they can't just leave something this dangerous here, and he's relieved to see the statue is harmless, that is until he hands it over to Anakin.

As soon as Anakin touches the idol, it's eyes flash yellow, and Anakin is overcome with pain as his body is warped by dark magic. Turns out the statue only works on those who harbor the dark side within them, turning them into a monster that matches both their inner turmoil and unbridled rage.

For Anakin, that monster is a dragon.

-Now, Every time Anakin looses his temper, he will transform into a dragon. He will only return back to human form when he calms down or goes to sleep.

-If Anakin loses his temper even more as a Dragon, his scales will darken to black and his eyes will turn red, gold. In this state he cannot control himself and will only stop until he's completely exhausted or knocked out.

-If there is one thing that Anakin loves about his new form is his ability to fly, and he when he can, he'll use his free time to secretly indulge in this.

Luke was finally successful in using the power of Force suggestion to help his father get some sleep. So successful in fact, that he knocked both himself, and his father out with it.

Is there a reason you always draw Anakin/Vader with his right arm amputated much higher up than in canon?

Uhhhh, mostly just out of habit? I mean, drawing his elbow and stuff is kinda annoying, so I just take the easy route and just draw it like I have been?

Other than that, the shortest answer I can give you is that I'm lazy.

If you want an AU for the one doodle with Luke, uhhh..how about instead of dying in the Return of the Jedi, the Force curses Vader into taking the form of a beast until he can truly redeem himself? I dunno.

Renew AU

Right side is doodle showing one incident where Luke got himself into some trouble and Vader had to come to the rescue, but not without suntanning some nasty injuries in the process. He doesn't care though, as long as Luke is safe, he would gladly carry as many scars as he needs to ensure it remains that way.

The left one is them having a very normal father and son moment. Luke's young body gets antsy easily, so he's prone to doing silly things like this with his dad sometimes, especially when he's waiting for his dad to stop brooding.

Renew AU :Obi-Wan

I finally figured out how to bring this dork back from the dead for this AU, so here's the dirty details.

Obi-Wan, as a Force ghost, has been secretly following Vader and Luke since this whole fiasco started. He's been looking for an opportunity to talk to Luke, but the boy is always shadowed by his father, and Obi-Wan really doesn't want to reveal himself to Vader considering the emotional fallout that would ensue, for the both of them.

So Obi-Wan watches, watches as Vader's heart is healed by Luke's kindness, watches as Vader protects, dotes, and adores his son, and Obi-wan begins to realize what Luke had been trying to tell him this whole time. Anakin never died, he's been trapped in a living hell for over a decade, screaming and begging for help, and Luke answered.

It makes Obi-Wan's heart ache. For so many years he's been trying to discard all his regrets, but seeing Luke's and Vader's adventures bring them bubbling right back to the surface. If only he had done things differently...

Then one day Vader and Luke come across another one of Sideous's secret labs. The old Sith lord has been trying to find a way to keep himself alive by any means possible. The machine that de-aged Luke and Vader was one of those plans, and he had used Luke as a guinea pig to see if it would worked, which is did, but the machine blew up.

So this faculty Luke and Vader are currently in is actually filled with brain dead clones of various Jedi, tests subjects to see if Sideous could implant his spirit into another body. One of them is even an adult clone of Obi-Wan.

Obi-Wan is relived to see that even Vader is disgusted by these things and watches wearily as Vader goes to kill the brain dead clones, only to get attacked by two Anakins.

The Anakin clones are simply being puppeted by Sideous and have no will of their own, so they're not as skilled as Vader in terms of fighting prowess, but that doesn't mean that they are easy to kill either. After a fevered fight, Vader manages to kill one them, but the other clone is then able to hit Vader with Force lighting, which is Vader's biggest weakness. Mechanical limbs and electricity aren't a good combo.

Seeing Vader in agony and Luke crying in desperation prompts Obi-Wan to try something really stupid. He shoves his spirit into the body of his brain dead clone and wills the damn thing to move.

It works and Obi-Wan is essentially alive again. He fights back the Anakin clone, allowing Vader enough time to recover and join the fight again. When it's over, Obi-Wan cannot bring himself to kill the clone, so Vader does it, brutally, and without hesitation.

For a moment, Obi-Wan thinks he might be able to rip his spirit free from this body and avoid this awkward situation, but it turns out he's permanently attached now, both to the new body and the Skywalkers.

(( Despite not regaining his lost limbs, Vader physically feels really good. He can easily take a deep breath, his lungs no longer feeling like they've been ripped apart by heated glass and ash. He has no need for a catheter, no more tubes, no more needles, just healthy pink flesh. ))

(( That being said, his mechanical limbs are in rough shape and attached very poorly. The flesh around the ports is always inflamed or bleeding, but Vader hardly pays it any mind. They don't have the money or time to waste on him, besides, this pain is nothing compared to what he endured in the suit. ))

(( Luke is not happy when he finally finds the hiding spot his father goes to when he needs to lick his wounds on the ship. His even more upset when he realizes his father has always been in a state of constant pain for over a decade. The surge of sadness he feels at this revelation prompts him to cry, which makes Vader very confused and concerned. ))

(( Luke's is very embarrassed by his crying, his damn little hormones betraying him, but he uses it as leverage to make Vader promise him that he'll let Luke help him form now on with repairs or to help tend his wounds. ))

(( Even with his new body, Vader does not sleep. Nightmares and visions are the only things that await him in his dreams, so he uses the same meditation technique that he perfected when he was bound to the suit. Luke is not a fan of this, and has been secretly trying to master his use of Force suggestion so he can finally allow his father some real rest. ))
