Death Before Detransition / Joy Before Death is a collaborative art zine by 14 trans artists. The zine includes 20 pieces of art in a variety of mediums, all based on the prompt of "trans joy"!

All proceeds for the first year of this zine’s release (June 2025 - June 2026) are being donated to Campaign for Southern Equality. This organization directly helps trans youth in the southern US through their Trans Youth Emergency Project.

They owned a small house that provided them with security and warmth, and the children went to school, carrying their dreams of a better future.

But, in a tragic moment, war came and destroyed everything. Youssef and his family lost their entire home, leaving only ruins that held their painful memories. Youssef's source of livelihood was gone, and his children were deprived of education, their most basic right. Now, the family lives in poverty, facing a severe shortage of basic necessities such as food, shelter, and medicine.

Despite these difficult circumstances, Youssef has not lost hope. He believes that goodness still exists in people's hearts, and that your support can make a huge difference in their lives. My family desperately needs your help to secure treatment for the children, provide safe shelter, and send them back to school.

Every donation, no matter how small, will serve as a ray of hope. Lighting the path for the Youssef family to a better future.

I live every day war, destruction and fear, a feeling that can only be described by those who live it.

War is not easy, as I lost part of my family, my home and my work.

I graduated from university with a high grade and worked as a fashion designer and opened my own project because it was my hobby from the beginning.

I developed and succeeded in my field, but the war came and I lost everything in a moment.

My work was my source of livelihood for my family, so because of it there was no longer any source of income.

Also, my mother has been suffering from kidney failure for years and needs dialysis 3 times a week.

Because of the war, she suffered from going to the hospital in danger and long distances.

Also, the lack of adequate care caused her severe fatigue and hospitals became an unhealthy place because of the large numbers who needed treatment.

I had many ambitions and dreams that I wanted to achieve and succeed and become a famous fashion designer.

All we wanted was to survive the war. We were forced to be displaced more than 10 times at least.

We suffer a lot from the tent as we lived the summer with its extreme heat as it is made of poor quality nylon

And from insects and diseases

And now winter has come and we are drowning in the tents and the extreme cold

We fear death every day, we love life

We don't have to lie and pretend the United States is bombing Iran because of trans people. I know you queer crackers are unable to imagine any world where your existence is not central but the reason the United States is bombing Iran is for securing its economic interests in the region. Securing economic interests in the region would in turn actually benefit trans Americans.

This is an update to a previous post. tl;dr on the previous post: My roommate/fiance and I (intersex, trans respectively, both disabled) need to flee to a safer state because of increasing fascism in our state. We have a place waiting, more affordable, more consistent work, food we will be helping to grow and preserve, etc. Long-established farm of a friend situation, not some overly ambitious and inexperienced project. It's a move that could very much save our lives. This is where I answered an anon asking about the situation.

In the past week, we have found out that our roommate, who intends to stay here for a variety of reasons, will probably need cancer treatment after all-- its been a lot of flip-flopping on the issue from her doctors. We are waiting for more information, but the general idea of "the cancer is for sure there, a problem, and will need something done about it" is clear. I am having to devote a significant amount of time to helping with the advocacy side of her situation. We are currently unsure what her future in regards to moving or, frankly, anything else might look like.

Because of that whole situation may need to raise our goal, but as it is now, we aren't really on track to move before winter as we'd hoped. That being said, the goal below is a monthly goal with getting moved by winter being the end and total goal. Progress has slowed immensely since the first week or so.

Spotlight for the Revive Gaza's Agriculture Program

The original version of this post was a rotating list of links for both Sudan and Gaza. I was unable to keep up with actually rotating out the links, and so I thought it might be for the best if I just focus all my energy onto one mutual aid campaign. I'll link the original masterpost at the end of this one.

If you've followed me for any amount of time, you probably know that agriculture is one of my passions. I firmly believe in food sovereignty and food justice.

So I was glad to learn about the Revive Gaza's Agriculture project. This program not only produces food (which is critical right now), but it also undermines the blockade intended to starve out Gazans, and is working to provide jobs. The organization has stated that later stages will help remediate the soil that has been poisoned over the course of the genocide.

Their progress in their own words:

Cultivated 1,019 dunums of vegetables with 537 farming families, comprising a total of 3,370 individuals.

Produced 5,090 tons of fresh vegetables.

Rehabilitated 17 greenhouses.

Rehabilitated 2 agricultural wells serving 6,000 individuals.

Provided fishing nets to 30 fisherfolk.

Distributed poultry to families.
