Polyamory community should stand in solidarity with other movements.

Something very huge to note is, independent of how you define certain movements or communities... The polyamory community is a strong one on its own, but it has a huge overlap with other movements too.

And independent of if it is a part of another, we are a community that deserves to be involved in the discussion of intersectionality, as we have so many overlaps with other groups.

We have also the right to be proud on our own, and address our struggle on its own, detached from other factors. One should be able to stand forward as both polyamorous and an advocate for us.

We should however not pretend like our struggle is entirely separate... We have a lot of things in common with other movements that get erased or attacked by media. We also share the commonality that we have legal and social struggles around our lifestyles and identity.

Worth to, as usual, point out that the flag was originally made for fabric where vibrant red looks best.

As screens are literally just a bunch of tiny lights, it obviously makes sense to dim stuff for webdesign, as it’s the equivalent of pointing a red flashlight at your eyes.

But yeah, really important to note we should distinguish this as webdesign and the original as for fabric.

I have a physical polyamorous flag and it doesn’t look that good because it’s pale like this. The blue ends up looking muddy in fabric and blends in with the sky more.

My friends were yelling about the colors of the polyamorous flag so I did them a favor and made them less eye-searing(cuz that’s the only complaint I have with the original flag personally).

I made three different versions with the more common symbols I see on the polyam flags, so infinity heart, infinity symbol, and pi symbol.

I guess this could be called “Pastel Polyam” even though it’s not really….pastel…..but it’s more pastel than the original flag so it’s chill. This is mostly just for the polyamorous people who find the original flag to be too bright for their corneas, feel free to use it!

Polyamory: Things No One Tells You

Bragging about all the sex you’re going to have with your partners when in reality, finding more than one person who is in the mood at the same time is a sport

Joking about how ugly you are and then getting on the group chat to see that your partners made a poll titled “Is _ Pretty” where the only answers are “Yes,” “Also yes,” and “Yes but in blue”

Saying we’ll all go out to fancy eating places or cute shops for a group date, when in reality it’s a Skype session where at least one person ends up late for work/falling asleep

Basing everyone’s cuddle position on who likes the wall side better

One person giving another a compliment, which turns into everyone complimenting each other in an endless loop of positive affirmation

sorry i neglected this blog so much... life n stuff, you know how it is? anyway, the extra reason why i felt demotivated from this is a bit different, i guess.

my long term relationship ended with one of my partners, so i have one partner now.. and i have sort of lost my motivation here because i feel weird being ambitious about this when i’m with one person.

i am obviously still polyamorous... i just have lost the ambition and the motivation to have a blog talking about this because i’m not fuelled by the love of several people.

i experience attraction to various people, always will, and i get crushes.. but currently i am quite happy just being with my girlfriend. i could honestly have it stay like this forever and i’d be happy.

i guess me being happy in a monogamous setup is part of why i feel demotivated too.
