Oh god i get to listen to this twink scream at the top of his lungs around 5am every day as he gets ready for court

There’s this one anime I’ve been watching, can’t recall the name - it’s the one where there’s the himbo protagonist who gets caught up in some wild supernatural bullshit. Like, he winds up in a bad situation and gets turned into something not-completely-human, and the demon hunters in the show’s universe initially want to kill him but decide to give him a job instead because he is Useful(tm). [(SPOILERS) He may or may not die horrifically at an early point in the story, but he walks it off just fine.] Ultimately, he’s Just Some Guy with a demonic entity living inside him.

He’s got this friend - well, “friend” is a strong word. He’s got this emo companion he works with who’s maybe a little bit of an asshole, but cares a lot more than he lets on. Dude has black hair, one expression, gloomy as hell and not super talkative. Always so serious. DEFINITELY traumatized. Summons a kickass demon dog to help him fight.

There’s also a female main character. Shes confident to the point of arrogance, but kicks enough ass to back it up. Argues a bit with the protag, though they ultimately get along well enough. Shes unhinged, more than a little bit insane, and we love that for her. Fights with a hammer, downright scary in battle.

As for the baddies in the show, the demonic creatures are always nasty, v creepy. Often too many eyes, big fucked up teeth. Really cool monster design.

Okay. Now that I’m done laying down the groundwork, am I talking about Chainsaw Man or Jujutsu Kaisen
