Chess Chocolate was the dress that introduced me into lolita, 2014 me was scrolling through tumblr and I was introduced to the world of EGL. While I dont typically reach for a sugary sweet style, chocolate lolita has a special place in my heart. This was my original dream dress and it feels unreal to have it on my body.

I love Moi-même-Moitié but it’s so sought after, really expensive and apparently the quality has dropped heaps. I love egl but why can’t it be a little more accessible lol. Like why does my dream dress resale for up to $1,000. Also why doesn’t Moi-même-Moitié make more units of a dress before a drop or do they like how it sells out in 5 minutes and then resales for like double idk. Would maybe be justified if the quality wasn’t as bad as people describe it to me. I think it also rubs me cause there’s little gothic Lolita brands, at least ones I like.
