I’ve never personally been a big fan of beef jerky, but I had a friend who  practically lived on a diet of it, and I guarantee those would’ve been right up her alley!

do you have any irrational fears? I am afraid of dogs and tarantulas. regular spiders I don't particularly mind, they are just a pest. but covered with hair? horrifying. My dog phobia comes up more often though. It doesn't matter what size they are, they just freak me out with their teeth, and cold noses and intelligent eyes. I am told I had a traumatic experience with a dog when I was really young. pictures of dogs don't bother me, its just their physical presence is when the fear kicks in

I’m terrified of birds. Like you, pictures don’t both me, but being around them does. I’m not really sure why, though - something about their beaks and talons and little beady eyes. I can appreciate some birds for their beauty, but I don’t want anything to do with them. I mean, they evolved from dinosaurs, so is it really irrational? 

I’m also terrified of cockroaches. Not the little tiny ones that are an actual problem, but the big fat ugly ones. I guess that’s irrational since they can’t really hurt you, but yuck.

I don’t share your fears, though. Spiders and tarantulas don’t bother me, and I love dogs to death. I can see why you would have those fears, though, especially if you’ve had bad experiences in the past. That definitely doesn’t make it irrational!

I feel awful because I don’t watch YuGiOh actually! D: I stumbled across this icon and just thought it was freaking adorable and fit pretty well. I haven’t seen RWBY either, but I recognize that icon as Blake! Well, I think I’ve seen the first episode of RWBY, but as with most stuff, I just haven’t gone back to it. I hear a good bit about it, though, so I’ll probably eventually try to give it a go. 

Don’t apologize for sending too many messages! The more the merrier, honestly. Astronomy and quantum physics are some pretty involved subjects - that’s impressive stuff! I would ask you to tell me about it, but I’m afraid it would totally go over my head. I’m so happy to hear that Amethyst is your fav, because she’s mine too, and I love her to bits. Thanks! It actually took a lot of work to get my hair that color. I'd been dying it all black since I was 14 so the first eight or so tries at bleaching it didn't go so well and I pretty much just had to wait for the previously dyed bits to grow out. I still have to be careful when I dye the short parts black not to get any on the front bits. I'm majoring in English because I'm moderately good at it and fiction interests me. I hope to get into copy editing eventually.

Hey I know all about how difficult hair colour can be - I’ve been working on getting a silver ombre going for about 3 and a half months now. I’ve bleached my hair … 4 times now? And I’m doing a 5th tomorrow, probably. Granted, my hair is naturally dark, about a level 2, but I also have a lot of red in my hair and have dyed it red in the past, so lifting it has been a struggle. I need it around a level 10, but it’s lingering around a 8/9 right now. Tomorrow is my last bleach session - whether it’s light enough or not, I’m done. I’ve put too much time and money into this and my poor hair needs a break.

And as for Madeon songs, Innocence is my favourite by far. I like Icarus a good bit, The City is pretty good, Shuriken, Pay No Mind is good, but I’m biased because Passion Pit, Nonsense (again, biased because Mark Foster), and Zephyr. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve found anything by him that I dislike so far, but I haven’t given everything a listen yet. I listen to Innocence on the daily, though!

I like a lot of cartoons, but the main one I watch other than SU is star Vs the forces of evil. As for recommendations, Mob Psycho 100 is really good. Its an anime with a unique art style and good themes that was written by the author of One Punch Man. Jojos Bizarre Adventure is also good. In general though, I like many shonen anime. Much of my taste in entertainment can be described as people with superpowers beating each other up in interesting ways. Do you like anime, and if so what kind?

I’ve heard a lot about Star VS, but, and I think I mentioned this in another ask, I’ve only seen the first episode I believe. And that first episode was okay, but it didn’t grab me. I try to give shows several episodes before I right them off, though, but I just haven’t had the time to try Star out again, but I will! I’ve heard it’s gotten much better. 

Oh, One Punch Man is one of my favourite shows! So I may have to look into Mob Psycho 100. Jojo is another I’ve heard a lot about but haven’t had a chance to watch, but I will eventually. Darker Than Black sounds pretty interesting as you’ve explained it. 

I do like anime, but I haven’t seen much to be honest. One Punch Man, as I said; I also used to watch Bleach and was really into it, but things got incredibly messy (I thought) a while into the show and I left it behind. There’s something like 350+ episodes which is too much for me to try and get caught up on. I used to watch Pokemon as well - does that count? haha. I recently finished Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood and enjoyed it; it was pretty good. Ouran High School Host Club was fun. I started Log Horizon a while back but never finished it, but I will come back to it eventually. That’s my issue - I’ve started plenty, but seeing it all the way through it another thing. Plus I have a HUGE backlog!

Splatoon is so worth it - I suck at shooters, but alternative control styles - touch-based or slightly motion-based - help me get over my crippling inability to coordinate two sticks way better. That's why I like KIU too! And since this is the new hottest topic, I suppose I should mention too - I'm brazilian, and I'm currently attending college for animation! Having 40 different people to talk about cartoons with every day is actually kind of amazing.

I’m the opposite - I don’t do so hot with motion controls or the like. I can handle joysticks no problem, though. I don’t know that I’ve ever heard much about KIU, but I looked it up, and from the little I saw it looks pretty interesting! I’ll have to give it a look someday. My 3ds has been sitting unused for quite a while.

Again, it’s awesome meeting people from all over! Sometimes I’ll look at my google analytics and see that there’s people in the US, UK, Spain, Sweden, Australia - wherever - and it’s just crazy. The internet is a wonderful, terrible thing.

Good luck in animation! That seems like (to me) a grueling thing to go into, but seems rewarding as well. I’m incredibly jealous of anyone who can animate - well, I’m jealous of a lot of things, haha.

Architecture is interesting. I bounced that idea around in my head for a bit but decided against trying to go into it. I know absolutely nothing on the subject. I hope that’s going well for you, though!

Star Vs starts off... not bad, but not that great either. Just sort of... there. Star herself is enjoyable enough and the concept has a lot of premise, but it doesn't display that much quality until things get interesting a couple of episodes in. And s2, once they've found their groove, is just an incredible ride. Very much would recommend, honestly! Game-wise, I'm a hypocrite, 'cause I don't know. Kid Icarus Uprising, Splatoon, Cave Story, Smash in general, various Pokémon games... it's hard!

I’ll have to give it another look sometime soon. I’ve seen talk about it start to pick up, but I still don’t really know what the show is about or anything. It’s not that I don’t want to watch it, just that I’m slow about getting into stuff. 

Hey - I know it’s difficult to choose favourites. I have the hardest time choosing too! I’ve never played Splatoon, but I’m definitely picking it up whenever the sequel comes out and I get my grubby hands on a Switch. It looks like a ton of fun.

i'm curious about how old you are? nothing much to say about me except that i'm 19, live in australia, and i really enjoy your blogs because this is my favorite show!

I had a birthday about ~a month ago, and I’m now getting up there at the ripe old age of 24! I’m basically on my death bed.

Hmmm, fave pokemon would probably be Darkria, but for gen one I would say Bulbasaur, it being my very first pokemon. So far in my gem collection I have Rose Quartz, Amethyst, Garnet, Malichite, Jasper, Lapis Lazuli, and a Peridot. I have some others that appear in the future of the show but I can't tell you what! Right now I'm just in school, and I'm interning job-wise. Do you think you will live blog things after you finish SU?

See, that’s how far behind on Pokemon I am - I had to look up Darkrai and I’ve never ever seen it before. I like the design, though, and I’ve never played a dark type since they weren’t around until gen 2.

Oh, what are you going to school for? I don’t mean to pry, I’m just interested. It’s great that you got an internship - that can really help later on. 

And I hope to continue liveblogging after SU! Unless the show ends before I catch up, which is possible but I hope it doesn’t happen, I’ll keep liveblogging new episodes shortly after they release. I also have some idea floating around for what show I’ll do next, but that’s a while off from now.

I'm Megazaprat. I chose that name based off of Pikachu, which is a rat that zaps, and my enjoyment of the Megaman franchise. I also chose it due to starting with Letter M. My whole family has alliterative names all starting with M, so I decided to follow the theme for my online avatar. For an opening question, why do you call yourself Ponyforyou? I like various cartoons, comics, books and video games, especially ones with a strong plot. Are you reading/watching anything right now besides SU?

Mega Zap Rat. I like it! I just picture a giant, 5-story tall Pikachu zapping people as he lumbers around a city like Godzilla, squeaking “Pika Pi!” 

I always found it cute when a family would all share the same first letter of their names. I have family that does that, as well as a friend who does that, although the girls and boys start with different letters.

So what others cartoons and books and video games and whatnot are you into? I’m always looking for something good. Right now, I’m watching a couple of shows - Westworld and Black Mirror are the major two. I spend a lot of time watching YouTube, too, and I don’t know why. I’m waiting on more BoJack Horseman, Kimmy Schmidt, and Stranger Things. I’m not really watching any other animated stuff at the moment, though, but that needs to change!

The biggest thing that's going on for me right now is that I just got hired for an actual full time job that pays a living wage yesterday (program facilitator at an outdoor ed type deal). I'm also helping out with some fandom projects, which you might be interested in when you're caught up :)
