Being fat or chubby or plus sized isn’t something people are beautiful in spite of, btw. It’s beautiful in and of itself
Fat butches on motorcycles, in bars, wearing tank tops and worn out jeans and jackets that show off the space they aren’t afraid to take up in the world are beautiful
Fat femmes in dresses and shirts and pants that don’t try to hide them, the indents of tight clothing on soft skin, are beautiful
Because of, not despite

I love lesbian gender so much. Literally every lesbian I’ve met has their own unique form of gender expression. Even within dynamics like butchfemme, we still transcend “normal” definitions of gender. We’re like scrapbooks, we just collect all these little pieces of fashion and culture and construct our own sense of beauty out of it in hopes that other lesbians will find it cool.

Reminder to all stone tops and touch-me-nots: You are not broken, and you do not need to be fixed. You will find someone who loves, cherishes, and respects you and your boundaries. No matter if your boundaries are shaped by trauma, personal preference, or both, know that you do not need to be 'fixed' to find love or be loved.

“Don’t forget to treat your masc like a princess!!” Don’t forget to treat your masc like a person. Don’t forget to treat your butch with as much respect around their masculinity as they need. Treat them like they’re people, with feelings, with emotional needs, who need care and affection just like anybody else would. You don’t have to infantilize or downplay their masculine identity to treat them well. Try considering instead that masculinity does not equate to hardness, especially not when it’s displayed by a butch or masculine sapphic. Try reframing your understanding of gender within queer expression so that masculinity isn’t scary and yucky while femininity is delicate and desirable. Try considering that masculine queers deserve pampering and love and tenderness and affection, and that you can give them those things without dismissing their masculine qualities. Try giving masculinity as much grace and respect as you’ve been conditioned to give femininity. If you feel the need to distance or invalidate their masculinity because you want a princess for a partner, maybe consider dating someone whose core identity doesn’t involve the expression and embodiment of the queer masculine.

I can't stand when fems say they're "gay gay" because they’re not pillow princesses or into hyper-masculine lesbians. Like, you’re not more lesbian just because you don’t like GNC lesbians or have certain preferences in bed. Please, this is lesbian level 1 knowlege 😭 I thought we all agreed you can't be more or less lesbian.
