Why jack pissed at davetrap?

Reason: While other times Jack finds Dave endearing despite all of his. self; Legacy Jack (evil dsaf 3 jack) doesn't ACTUALLY find any part of Dave likable or endearing because of the influence Henry/following in Henry's footsteps has on Jack

Being haunted by (and following the footsteps of) Henry essentially results in some of Henry's attributes to be kind of "projected" onto Jack (also for thematic purposes), and he loses the (questionable) respect he has for Dave as part of that (bec he can feel Henry's hate for him)

He humors Dave enough to keep him around (even with his romantic or friendly gestures at times) but its all for the purpose of keeping Davetrap overly attached so he can kill him when he is at his weakest (or at least with the knowledge that it will go that far eventually)

I imagine Jack is actually better at being his normal self/pretending to like Dave than I usually draw him but I like to make it obvious he isn't his same self (and doesnt feel the same towards Dave as he did before). Jack doesn't have a conscience so i imagine he's able to play into their old "dynamic" easily ((I also like to play around more with the whole "henry influence" thing (and exaggerate how it effects him) since its still a little unclear to me how it works in canon))

Yes. but only as a last resort.

He is aware and intentionally does things to piss him off. he likes getting a reaction from him

Dave expects a reaction, and Jack knows that Dave expects one (which is also why Jack looks annoyed more often instead of falling for his ragebait and reacting)

For most of the occasions: Dave, mostly because he "initiates", and Jack is more often reluctant to reciprocate. It'd probably be different if either of them were willing to communicate that far without getting awkward. But if Jack initiates or reciprocates he prefers to be the bigger spoon (And Dave prefers it too. though he doesn't complain either way or ask for it)

I’m bringing this up now because I’m hoping the dsaf fandom in 2025 can act reasonably and respectfully. I have zero intention of uploading anything that would violate the creator’s wishes. I’m also choosing to withhold certain things based on my own judgment about whether they should really be out there.

(Yea lol inconsistent rite?) Thats what happens when you involve yourself with a mentally ill lobotomized no-empathy child murderer who is actually a sensitive individual starved of affection lol..... (Also working in a location where people die like every day lol like death is almost predictable at a certain point) A lot of it is the fact that he literally CANT feel empathy like that part was sucked out of his brain, Henry basically programmed him not to be phased by death or murder but he couldn't take out the part of him that is idolizing and obsessive- Dave doesnt WANT Jack to die and inserts him in all his daydreams and all that, but to Dave death is still a normal everyday occurrence no matter who it is (Though like with everything "it depends" because Dave is random and unpredictable. like jack could be gone for 5 minutes and not dead and dave react strongly.) Though I do think that (at least in the endings where Dave likes Jack particularly) if Jack died (and dave didnt care in the moment) his absence in Dave's life would get to him EVENTUALLY. hes just not a normal person with normal logic.
