So, Diamond, comics' single major distributor, has effectively shut down for the time being. Who knows what the industry will look like when life begins resembling something closer to normal again.
In the meantime, how about if we build something else? I'm working on a marketplace aimed at self-publishers, readers and collectors. Not a distro, but a place where small press comic and zine publishers of all types can set up shop to sell directly to the public (and retailers too).
Here's a link to more details.
NEW IN THIS UPDATE: • fee structure for selling (finally!) • full-size screenshots of work done so far • a new incentive for donating to the cause that gets your money back in your hands
If you think this sounds like a good idea, PLEASE SHARE! Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, wherever other comic and zine folks hang out. Thank you! --Rick Bradford
