It seems that Her meaning of the term “punishment” is somehow different than what I had in mind!

Lucy was so desperate after many weeks of unsuccessful job interviews. Her bank account was empty and her determined time which her landlady had given to her to move-out was ending.So in the next few days she would have no money to buy food and no place to live.

 After that Lily - Lucy’s only sister that never liked her - found-out her situation, a brilliant thought got in her mind. She called Lucy and told her that she need a full-time live-in maid and would like to hire her. When Lucy heard this generous offer felt humiliated and angry. Calling her sister a bitch was never a good and wise decision because after 2 days when she understood that she had no other way but to accept Lily’s offer she forgot all her pride and honor and called her sister. Lily said the position is not available anymore but after about an hour of begging from Lucy, Lily accepted to hire her to work for her with minimum-wage.

Even after signning the contract, Lucy couldn’t believed that now, she is her sister’s maid and had to wear a full maid outfit 24/7 and even address her sister  as Mrs.Anderson or Ma’am!! Working from 5:30 am to 11:30 pm was hard enough but the humiliation and embarrassment she recieved was harder.

“Dear, you forgot to put my shoes on!”

“Sorry Ma’am. Right away Ma’am”

“Aww. What a good maid you were, dear. I wish i would hire you sooner. Did you make everything ready for our guests’ arrive? Aunt Minerva and Emmy will be here in 5 minuets.”

“Yes Ma’am everything is ready”

“Oh it seems our guests are arrived. Go get the door maid”

“Yes Ma’am”
