I find it hilarious that I used the Midoriya vs Nagant fight to calculate Midoriya’s speed, came up with around 60 m/s for 5%, and now we have it canon that, no, 5% should be almost triple that.
Midoriya, at the beginning of the series, should be over half the speed of sound. What the actual hell.
And that is just the speed! Imagine the actual force behind his punches and kicks!
That author q&a is insane like what does he mean All Might could move at mach 10 in his prime??? That's triple the top speed of the SR 71 Blackbird!!!
Do you even read my Christmas list!?
This also means that at 5% of One For All, Midoriya should be moving at, say, 171.5 meters per second. Approximately.

You… you have seen the upcoming Valkyr Heirloom, right?
I think we need to discuss what The Hex looks like from The Scaldra side given they have no clue of anything regarding Warframes.
January 12th 1999, Viktor Vodyanoi is baffled that 50+ new members joined The Hex litterally overnight.
He has no idea which of them, if any, are the Drifter Nightingale keeps talking to on the coms.

I would like to point something else out about Uraraka’s battle with Bakugou.
She ran INTO the meteor shower.
Her plan was that, no matter if Bakugou was blasting or dodging the rubble, she could tag him. This also goes unsaid but, if Bakugou tried to defend against Uraraka instead, he gets hit by the rubble instead. There was also the possible chance Uraraka could get hit by the rubble but she needed to get in close regardless.
Bakugou had to hurt himself with a strong explosion in order to blast away both the meteors and her.
Uraraka WILL find a way to get close to you and tag you, or die trying. Not even a meteor shower or an army of clones will make her hesitate.
I think Uraraka fans and especially Togachako and IzuOcha shippers need to let Ochako be just a bit more unhinged. Enough of this sweet, innocent Ochako. Let her be just a bit crazy.
That girl decided the best plan to beat Bakugo was to drop a literal meteor shower on him, a plan which would have most likely severely injured if not killed almost every other member of her class, after being in hero school for less than 2 months.
That girl used a harpoon canon to launch herself after a plane, latched onto that plane with a grappling hook, took down the pilot while the plane was still moving, and refused to get out of the plane while it was going down because she didn't want the cargo to end up in the ocean.
That girl looked at an army of Twice clones and went, "Himiko! I see your bitch ass! Don't think you're getting out of this goddamn confession!" then proceeded to beat Himiko without throwing a single punch after Himiko stabbed her.
And speaking of that stab wound, that girl looked into the eyes of the girl who just stabbed her with a knife and has been terrorizing Japan with an army of clones and said "damn girl you might be the cutest in the world."
None of that is shit a sane person would ever do. I'm sick of pretending Ochako is just some sweet, innocent girl.
Let my girl be an unhinged badass, please, I'm begging y'all!

one thing about the Painter-Writer conflict is that it's not clear how, if at all, the Painters' power works outside the canvas so when Clea says she's seeking vengeance, does she mean like... with a gun

I 110% agree on the player character thing, especially when Act 3 pops up with the title card Maelle but we still play as Verso in camp. I had to take a second when that happened and go “why am I not Maelle??” I imagine it is due to the relationship mechanic that can’t really be shifted at that point, and kind of makes me wish it was something else instead.
Act 3 would have been a nice spot to get a bit more history on the dynamics of the Dessendre family through Maelle. Her relationship with her family prior to the fire, how it is “apparently” her fault she got caught in an attack from the Writers that Verso needed to save her from, etc. We get a little bit of insight through painting!Alicia and the meaning of the Third Axon, and some dialogue with Clea through the Endless Tower, but not that much else.
Clair Obscur SPOILERS for Act 3.
So wait... are we just gonna move right on from the fact that Verso admits that he could have saved Gustave but chose not to?? Because he thought that Gustave would be an obstacle to his plans? Like he just outright admits it?? And Maelle just forgives him straight away?? With literally zero angst or character conflict??
Wat???

To be fair:
A) This happens after Maelle essentially kills Verso’s sister, even if it was her choice. It isn’t the same, as Gustave was murdered, but I imagine that plays a part in her lack of reaction.
B) Maelle assumes that she could just bring Gustave back to life once they defeat Renoir.
I agree there should have been something to yet another manipulation by Verso, especially one that shows he is willing to let people die to further his goals, but I kind of get it? I guess?

Admittedly it’s more of a canon invention, but do you think Nezu gets a little lonely with a “cackling rat god” reputation and all that?
Or just like the typical amount of lonely being a world famous philosopher/principal/political activist/sapient rat?
You ever think about how Nedzu is the only one of his kind? How we're never even told what species he is, but no other member of that species, if there are any, would have human-level sapience the way that he does.
Nedzu isn't human, but he doesn't really have a home to go back to either.
Functional, Nedzu is an Endling.

shit ton of people are repeating the thing about hayao miyazaki saying AI art is an "insult to life itself" and just as a reminder he was talking about the zombies that team made that were intended to be scary in how much they shook, but instead reminded him of his disabled friend. the insult to life itself was referring to the team trying to make scary real symptoms that people live with.
it was a quote about ableism. if he has said other things about AI type stuff, that is a different thing. but that specific quote was about ableism.

Holy shit. I am just thinking about the explosive traps thing. Bakugou could suspend globs of sweat in the air with Gearshift and then use Gearshift to accelerate them and cause the shock to set them off, considering how Bakugou used AFO’s own acceleration to set off his sweat. Unless Gearshift’s ignoring inertia might mess with that…
Bakugo for All: Fa Jin and Gearshift were kinda... Wasted in canon, but Bakugo could probably get more use out of them.
With Fa Jin, he could increase the range on his blasts via using the stored kinetic energy to launch his sweat farther before detonating, while Gearshift would basically let him set explosive traps.
Like, even if he needs Support Gear to get the full use out of these, you could get some pretty creative fight scenes even WITHOUT the raw power output.
Even at it's most basic, Gearshift would be huge for someone like Bakugou who relies so heavily on momentum in fights. Interesting use for Fa Jin, too

So, two thought processes for this phenomenon.
Either Wizards, Witches, Warlocks, etc, are just how Magic expresses itself to interact with the world and spawns them differently according to their environment.
OR, there used to be Wizards, Witches, Warlocks, etc, they diminished in numbers for whatever reason and Magic, so used to being channeled through these beings, decides to reconstruct them in the places they mainly occupied in life so Magic can once again interact with the world.
Concept: Uninhabited wizard towers create their own occupying wizards ex nihilo
