Molly's hands are soooo soft, gentle barely there touches and usually tipped in pink. Hesitant, shy, but warm - She'll often hold them near her chest protectively or fidget with them by her lap if they're not busy. They might tremble once in a while if she's feeling distressed but otherwise they're very steady. Have to be for her needlework and cooking! Serena's hand's aren't calloused but they are rougher, scarred on the inside, and confident. They don't grate against other skin, but they're nowhere near as baby-soft as Molly's. They grip strong, purposeful, steady, when they're not at her sides, in her pockets, or crossed under her chest. She prefers using them for firm, guiding touches but there are plenty of people who've been on the receiving end of a swing from those bad boys. They're tools for communication as much as they are conflict resolution. And they're usually a lot warmer than people expect.

What was one event that changed your PC? Not just their appearance but their perspective on the world, or the way the town works?

For Serena it had to have been being 'adopted out' by Bailey. She was a child but she wasn't stupid, she knew what Bailey was to her and even if they treated her the same as every other orphan under their care (or tried to,) she truly believed that somewhere underneath it all they must love her like any parent should. That belief gave her stability for most of her childhood years no matter what happened to her, until the day Bailey said she would be leaving the orphanage permanently. Serena was a very quiet and complacent child, especially when it came to Bailey's orders, so she didn't question it or make a fuss when she was handed over to two strangers whose over-eager smiles and firm touches made her stomach twist in knots. Even as they strapped her into a car seat and the orphanage shrunk from view, even as they chatted loudly about how much fun they were going to have living together - about her new room in her new home. Even when they led her with that same firm grip on both small hands into the house that would become her prison for the next ten years. She still thought Bailey would be coming to get her soon, she just had to wait. And she waited. Even once the abuse started. Even once they started bringing more children home, and even when those children disappeared.  Even once they showed her the basement. Even once they started making her hurt people. Because Bailey would be coming to get her soon, and if she hadn't been good Bailey would be upset. It was only when her new parents games went a bit too far, their touches too firm, her body scarred and heaving from resuscitation, that she realized Bailey wasn't coming. Bailey had handed her over to monsters - Monsters that smiled and talked and touched like humans, monsters that ate children - and she was going to die here. Bailey wasn't coming to get her, and Bailey didn't love her, not one bit.

 For Molly it would have been her father handing her over to the asylum for the first time. She knew she had made a mistake by telling anyone what had happened, she knew he was angry with her, far more so than any other time she had cried.

She didn't know where they were going when he'd snatched her up and stormed out of the house with her still sniffling and sobbing in his hold. She didn't need to. She could tell by the way his arm squished around her tummy too hard and the way his face had gone such an angry red, she was in trouble. A lot of trouble. So she went quiet, hoping that in stopping her tears, being quiet and pliant it would soothe his anger somehow, make the consequences less harsh when the time came. But it didn't help, he still shoved her into the waiting iron grip of the asylum's staff. She apologized, over and over and over - For being bad, for crying so much, for telling anyone - She would never do it again, she swore. She'd be good, and sweet, and do anything he wanted, she'd never cry again. Just please, please don't leave her there alone. It was for her own good - That was all he said to her. He didn't look back even once, didn't need to. He'd already pocketed the reward Harper had guaranteed him for providing them with another misguided, confused individual to save. It was for her own good, everything he had done to her and everything that came afterwards.
