RUNNING • It’s good for for you - FACT. I have so let my running slip during the last 6 months . Not a great idea as now Is when we need our minds to be strongest. I seized the moment this morning and ran with Otto. Look his focus on that biscuit 🍪😆 Trying to keep your head above water I know is proving tricky for a lot of people right now . Stay strong, try and shoe in some time for yourself. I find this really difficult- we have two businesses running in our house , two lovely girls who keep us on our toes and who I am devoted to providing the best possible roots for and one very bouncy woofer. So yes it proves very difficult but take that time when you can get it and you will be a far better person for yourself and to all those around you. This post from @emily_eavis is so so important. Please share far and wide. There seems to be little no support for the live events industry. If you have ever sung your heart out to the lyrics of your favourite ever song back to the person that created it then you will know, and feel in your heart and in your soul, like I do, that we need to do everything we can do help these guys survive 🙏 #Repost @emily_eavis with @get_repost ・・・ Right now, tens of thousands of people who carry the UK's hugely successful live music and events industry are out of work, through absolutely no fault of their own. The majority of these individuals are self-employed or sole directors of limited companies, and many have received no financial support throughout this pandemic. We are part of a UK creative industry which contributes over £100 billion to the economy each year and which puts this country on the map. An industry that brings people together like no other, to watch performances in theatres and venues and fields; performances which inspire, delight, move, educate and create memories to last a lifetime. But as it stands, there is no sign of the live events industry returning in the coming months. We are an industry in crisis. If we don’t speak up, many theatre companies, venues, promoters, artists and crew could struggle to such an extent that this industry is simply never able to return to the incredible force it was before this pandemic struck. We need the government to recognise what the performing arts bring to the fabric of this country, and how much it adds to the well-being of so many. We need them to offer financial support not just to the venues and organisations that put together these performances, but also to the crews that actually make it all possible. It is predicted to get pretty busy for us small businesses this Christmas, and after the year that we are having, we think thoughtful gifts will be at the top of people’s lists. My business is all about memories and thought and love so please order early and save my little fingers and my sanity 🙏🙏 #Repost @hollytucker with @get_repost ・・・ Now there might be a heatwave (thank goodness - all I do is check for Friday!) but us small business owners are always looking 👀 ahead (Christmas in July anyone???) but this year consumers are getting into the festive spirit earlier too! John Lewis recently reported that they'd had 370% increase 📈 in Christmas searches on their website so they've opened their Christmas shop early! Is it normal that I walked around an entire floor of Liberty full of baubles in September? Dates and traditional milestones haven't held the same significance in 2020 as the last 6 months rolled into one long "new normal" and understandably this is having an impact on consumer 🛍 behaviour. Potentially people are remembering how hard it was to shop during the height of lockdown 🔒 with shops selling out and longer than usual delivery times, so it looks like consumers are planning ahead to avoid Christmas 🎅🏻 shopping panic. Especially as no one can predict what the next few months will hold. And I believe there's also a more emotional side to all this ❤️ - we haven't been able to see those nearest and dearest to us as much as we would have liked with missed birthdays, graduations 🎓 and everything in between, so It's only natural that we want to show people that we've been thinking about them and we frigging adore them! Happy happy Sunday ! • Birthday celebrations this weekend for my biggest girl . I ordered these AMAZING cookies from @sweetcharitycookies and they just wowed me. They are an absolute work of art . Michelle was fantastic and the customer service and taste was second to none. These were perfect too to give to her friends as I don’t think there will be much blowing out candles on a cake then sharing it out for a while 😳 I was allowed the Hedwig one and it was truly delish. What’s more is that all the money made from them goes to a children’s hospice Manchester. How amazing is that . BACK TO SCHOOL • Just said to my buddy - I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry. We’ve had such good times. Managed to balance businesses and kids and a woofer but gosh I’m exhausted 💤. We got though it - we had such fun and it was so hard - but we’re out the other side. I’ll miss these guys . They’ve grown in so many ways . I’ve learnt I have to look after myself a bit more . Cos if I’m good - I’m good at everything else. For now it’s a run, then some orders. Hello hello ! My posts have been so few and far between the last few weeks and months. I can’t deny - balancing kids and a business and homeschool - it’s been exhausting ! I’m going to miss the kids so much when they go back to school but I’m ready to have a bit more time to work on orders and on future plans.
