yeah ok that's entirely fair. i guess I'm just hung up on whether there is a difference between "exorsexism" and oppositional sexism?
the term exorsexism, imo, misrecognises the phenomena in question as simply institutitonal bias/bigotry against non-binary people, implying there is a binary privilege that "binary trans people" supposedly flatly benefit from (???), whilst the term oppositional sexism understands that it is in fact an instutitonal bias/bigotry against transgression of the gender binary, something that ""binary trans people"" are obviously recognised as doing by literally everybody lol (it's kind of the whole problem). this is also, btw, why i think "binary trans person" doesn't really make sense as a term & i think codifies a cisnormative gender binary even further.

i am finding the scores of conventional, largely comfortable and decently functional misanthropes who do a lot of vague gesturing towards the idea that everyone just needs to get their shit together to be quite fucking tiring

also we need NEED to get people to be less stupid about “misgendering” cis people. there’s not an intrinsic evil to mistaking someone’s pronouns or using the wrong ones, what makes it bad is the threat of corrective transphobic violence to put you back into place. trans people cannot do this to cis people. you are being fucking stupid and screwing over understandings of transphobia for suggesting these are equivalent situations at all, in the first place.

saying patriarchy also oppresses men is like saying that the monarchy also oppresses the royals because they need to only marry within their class and get blamed for all the bad things that happen in the kingdom

yknow im sick of acting like there isnt actual structural violence in place against polyam people. any person who has to keep their romantic life completely secret out of fear of employment loss, housing discrimination, harrassment, social alienation, etc is like. materially speaking facing structural violence. polyamorous couples dont get access to the same legal protections (marriage being the big one), theres no laws in place prohibiting any kind of discrimination against somebody based on having multiple partners, its more than socially acceptable to call us ugly, fat, undesirable, all secretly sex pests or freaks or abusers, etc.... like can we be real here lmao

other trans women can put it better than me but there's this, tension, between "radical genderpunk you can be whatever you want forever-ness" and "trans woman as politicised identity"
one views any engagement with your assigned gender at birth as like, being trapped in a prison of your own making,? as using the tools of the enemy or whatever. and the other is "yes my assigned gender is a prison, it is a prison the outside world is constantly enforcing on me and i would like to be able to talk about that a little thanks"
so you get this tension, where one side (made up of predominantly people who aren't trans women) says "the ideal world is one in which you can be whatever the fuck you want forever! so call yourself anything you want as long as it makes you happy, you can be an afab trans woman if you want it's all made up :)" and the other side says "hey hi yes i broadly agree with you on the whole ultimate gender liberation front, but we do not live in an ideal world and transfemininity is uniquely demonized even as far as trans identities in general go, so i would appreciate it if maybe you didn't act like our identity and oppression was something made up that you could just put on and take off whenever you like? we sure as fuck can't do that."
and then the other side goes "hey all these trans women are invalidating us! why are they gatekeeping and being so exclusive! assigned gender at birth shouldn't matter so why are you acting like it does!?"
and they say this while we live in a society where your assigned gender at birth very much does matter, and if you're a trans woman it is borderline impossible to escape that.
it's like an is-ought problem where since we're not acting like we already live in a gender utopia where one's relationship with assigned sex and gender is completely arbitrary, we're treated like the enforcers of the gender binary.
this is where you get stupid bullshit like people calling trans women radfems

first they came for the trans girls, and i did not speak out,
because they hate all trans people equally, don't you know? why does it need to be about you all the time? if you think about it, don't i experience transmisogyny too, anyway? i mean, lesbians don't want to fuck me, which is how i view the entirety of transmisogyny. trans girls are men that lesbians don't want to fuck because they're big stinky meanies, and that happens to me, too, so trans men are tma and it's really derailing and mean and stinky of you to say we have different experiences when i'm LITERALLY experiencing the EXACT same thing as you... they hate us equally! dude, oh sorry, i mean girl, why are you dividing the community?

Id like to propose we invent a paper document u can have where it states that youve had a prescription for so many years, that u can just have it. Walk into any pharmacy. 200 miles from home. Nobody has ever heard of you. Show paper. Get prescription. For free. A prescription diploma. You put in so many years on this prescription, you graduate from having to ask for it. Life could be so perfect.

transfem t4t happens for any number of reasons not the least of which is that it's beautiful and wonderful and connecting, but the reality is that it also happens because quite frankly almost every transfem i know has had a horrific experience of a relationship with a tme transgender person who was viciously abusive and transmisogynist to them and happily and readily wielded transmisogyny as a weapon.

Shut up you fucking crybaby

Happy Black History Month!
What began as a simple reading list of forthcoming Black transfemme novels blossomed into a full critique of White supremacist publishing, Black literary erasure, and the supplementarity of the Black transfemme body as text 🖤
