ronan in the graphic novel is such a distinguished member of society. no alcoholism, no drag racing, no saying slurs and insults, no visible self-harm looking scars, no mentions of him skipping class - in fact he's not even getting expelled - no picking fights and no saying inappropriate ass shit to adam and blue just for the hell of it, no reasons to improve on anything about his own character really so he straight up doesn't. declan just looks like a massive asshole for having any issue with this squeaky clean law abiding god-fearing citizen

No idea if bed sizes are universal so: a twin is very small, made for one person. A full is a little bigger than a twin, but not a big as a queen. Both can hold 2 people but it's easier in a queen. A king can easily hold two people plus a pet or child (or both lol), while a California King is ridiculously huge

ronan is not an alcoholic, and not shown as drunk/passed out in the chainsaw scene. RIP to the dead ronan double in the church in BLLB!

ronan getting arrested + “can i press charges?” being omitted means there is no parallel sacrifice. they both give up something huge for the other, they both do something for each other in exchange.

redaction of the “repugnant” argument makes gansey’s other dialogue look worse. the victim blaming tone he takes towards adam is crazy

niall’s murder is not mentioned. the conflict between declan and ronan is never expounded upon. i don’t think matthew is mentioned, either.

noah was a non-entity, and the design of his character cheapened his reveal

barrington’s backstory is gone, so we don’t really know why he’s so bitter or violent or dead set on achieving his goals

adam’s “am i invited?” motif is gone

in the opening scene ronan and gansey eat sandwiches together, creating an oddly unified front AGAINST adam, when in the book it is adam&ronan + gansey

the thing about the smiths is that i wish i knew less about morrissey because it discredits some of the lyrics.
