Extremely cool new dinosaur: Pulaosaurus qinglong

This absolutely gorgeous fossil ornithischian from the mid-to-late Jurassic of China was just described a couple days ago! And beyond just being a beautiful looking specimen, this fossil includes fossilised elements of the larynx!!!
Specifically it had arytenoids, which are parts of the larynx made of cartilage in us mammals but in birds and now apparently ornithischian dinosaurs they were ossified (turned to bone). The authors described them as looking similar to modern birds', suggesting that Pulaosaurus might have been able to make bird-like vocalisations!

It's particularly exciting because it's a second point of data after laryngeal structures were found in the ankylosaur Pinacosaurus a couple years ago. So it's not just ankylosaurs doing some weird unique thing, but a structure that might have been shared by at least all ornithischians!
As far as I'm aware nobody has attempted to figure out what the actual noises could have been, and I'm guessing it's not possible with the amount of material we have. But it does massively expand the range of sounds that we know could have been possible for them, which is exciting enough!!

Sami was hiding his last two pieces of bread.
He tucked them away carefully, as if guarding a precious treasure—because hunger shows no mercy, and nothing fills the emptiness but patience. Each crumb mattered. Each bite was a delay in surrendering to the silence of starvation.
His eyes were heavy with exhaustion, and his stomach ached with hunger.
Still, his heart was calm—at least he had two pieces of bread left. In a place where meals have become memories, two slices were enough to keep a glimmer of hope alive.
Suddenly, a weak cat jumped through the window.
It snatched the bread he had hidden and devoured it quickly. It was his own cat, frail and starving, now on the verge of death from hunger. Sami stood frozen—not from anger, but from the bitter truth that even animals are now desperate for food.
When bread becomes a prize, you know famine has reached an unimaginable level.
Please help Sami with a donation—so he can buy food to save his children, his family, and even the starving cat who stole his last meal out of sheer desperation.

the thing about labubus to me is that i genuinely do think the design is appealing and i love things that are uglycute and if they were lowkey or more niche i think it would be super cute to have one. but the fact that they are mainstream and trendy sucks all of the fun out of it for me
#people dont know how to collect stuff for fun anymore#unless there is a social or financial gain to it#and the problem with collecting both pokemon and labububstuff is tgat people are creating scarcity#and it can be so easily solved by just.#not buying everything in stock and leaving some for others

Dopey Royal Lindwyrm whelps.
One day, they will grow up MAGNIFICENT and wise. For now, they're a little stress inducing, hides in dumbest places, uses the smelly pile of hay in the stables, instead of the silk canopy bed to sleep in!

I don't think there's anything degrading about a micro cowkini. I think ungulates have a sort of quiet dignity about them
