deathfear founder 03 - miststar

miststar, despite being the oldest, is also the shiest of the founders. she's withdrawn, quiet, and prone to hiding when in trouble. much of mistclan is made up of pacifists who were caught up in the war unwillingly, though, so she'd not really alone on that front - soon after the war started, she took mistclan and hid away from her former friends, trying to protect herself and the cats who couldn't fight. it is rare to see miststar in starclan, even for those who knew her in life, but her clan believes she simply prefers to watch over them more personally. ask blog || toyhou.se profiles

galestar is the founder of galeclan. she's a charismatic and justice driven cat who, despite being coniferstar's closest friend when they arrived to the forest, turned against her when she began to show violent tendencies towards nonbelievers. upon her death, her spirit seemingly disappeared when she should have gone to starclan based on everything everyone knew - this lead to a supposed confirmation of the rumors of the skyless place, and coniferstar's full-blown panic at finding her missing shook even the rebellious galeclan to its core.

deathfear founder 01 - coniferstar

the founder of what eventually became needleclan and also a prophet of the clan of stars (later starclan), conifer started out as a wide eyed kitten before spiraling when her inability to comprehend that she's wrong led her down a path of war. in the end, she got what she wanted, but it cost her everything.

'it's death they fear' is a fresh take on the concept of warrior cats. there are parallels, like naming schemes, -clan suffixes, starclan, the dark forest, and so on, but i've rewritten them all from the ground up and it's something i've been working on off and on for a couple of years now. i've been wanting to do something more with it for a while, so here it is. send me asks over there about it, if you want! i have anonymous & guest asks enabled, so you can interact if you don't have a cohost account, too.

idk what they’re planning on doing with nightheart but he reminds me quite a lot of earlier arc rootspring, and i think it would be interesting to give post-bris rootspring a look at he and bris’ relationship from her perspective now that he’s sort of stepped into her shoes with nightheart (in this situation, obviously, not in canon bc the erins would never). now root is the cat perceived as a hero by someone who heavily looks up to him, a cat who’s struggling with how he’s viewed in the clan for his legacy, a cat who’s bitter at his parent for “not understanding”, a cat that he sees himself in. but where rootspring has had time to mature and grow thanks to recent events, nightheart is Stuck in that phase, unable to even graduate into being seen as a fellow adult due to training delays and failed assessments.

maybe…. it’d be worth it to give him some guidance, and perhaps he’d even find what bris saw within him in the process.

oh yeah since i don't remember really. updating y'all. i'm.... actually working on a fic based on this. i've been tagging stuff that's related without actually telling anyone on here what the tag was orr what "brambles to ash" was. brambles to ash is what i've named the au. it's significantly more fleshed out than it was, too- currently working on the prologue and other details. feel free to ask about it! i wanna have answers for every question i could get, but i won't know weak links until they're coaxed out✨ confirmations under the cut

- this takes place around the beginning of oots - holly DOES get a power - ash's history has absolutely been taken into account for my interpretation of him (not that it defends any of his behavior, which, it doesn't). my ash is.... deeply disconnected from the perceived ideals of clan life, to simplify things. - he also, despite being very bitter towards squilf, really does care for her (but that's complicated and for another time). unlike canon ash, though, at this point in time, he recognizes that it's an unhealthy fixation and has begun avoiding her entirely. too bad that can't last uwu - the fire scene in this canon happened differently, with squilf not present, and lasted a fraction of the time. ash finds the three and more or less leaves them alone cause he's searching for squirrel (he's trying to make sure she's safe, but it'd still escalate fast if he actually found her alongside her kids). what this means is that characters like leafpool and hollyleaf are kinda still in the same position they were in before that whole thing.

suggestions are welcome! questions are welcome! i'm happy to talk about my project. some spoilers will stay under wraps, but a lot of things i'll be open to talking about. also considering using this site more in general. we'll see.

yes- ivypool, as promised! i was going to add a bonus dove but i couldn't get her face right 😔 if i ever manage to get it i'll make a version of them put together!
