Gileumjin Burger

Calsimfornian-styled burgers, now in Boroughsburg (and with a Korean twist)! With S-Pop playing obnoxiously loud in the background, burgers so greasy they can give you a heart attack and an industrial modern interior that already tells you each item on the menu costs at least 50 simoleons each, this new spot in the boro is, by the owner’s words, “more than a diner, it’s an experience”!

So yea I wanted to build a restaurant using @potato-ballad-sims’ Fast Casual Restaurant Set, but instead it’s a modern, “gourmet” burger parlor. This lot is supposed to be placed on 3-69 Badford Avenue in Boroughsburg and works as a Cafeteria (the ITF one).

Requires all expansion packs but Supernatural and Seasons, Boroughsburg’s CC and the Fast Casual Restaurant Set. No SPs or Store.

Boroughsburg Communal Center

What started as a small communal orchard by members of the PPS (Proletarian Party of Simmerica) in the ‘70s, it grew to a communal center with a library, workshops and even a theater (besides the orchard’s expansion to the rooftop)! The neighboring refectory/homeless shelter is not a part of the BBurg Communal Center, but they often collab with each other by doing food festivals and vaccination campaigns.

Posting this lot here just in time for the International Workers Day, while juggling w/ college, personal life and some other projects of mine

Anyways, this lot was built for @potato-ballad-sims​’ Boroughsburg and works as a Big Park (for SimFests). It’s meant to be placed on 22 Newtown Street (the 64x64 lot), across the street from the Smashdancers People’s Club.

Requires all EPs (yes, even Showtime and Into the Future) and the CC that comes w/ Boroughsburg. No SPs or Store

The Brownstone LGBT+ Club

At first owned by the Mob and currently by a mysterious someone (some say it’s by the Queen herself, LaVoreda Vex), the Brownstone is a place to be! Besides partying all night long in this historical LGBT club, here you can find yourself, or even a special someone (except if you’re claustrophobic and/or have social anxiety)!

Sorry for my absence lately, I’ve been focusing more on some projects, college and personal life. Also I was thinking if I’d post this lot or not during Pride Month (imagine looking like a corporation thirsty for some pink money, ugh).

Anyways, this lot was built for @potato-ballad-sims​’ Boroughsburg and works as a Dance Club. It’s meant to be placed on 401 Kant Avenue, just behind the Rutheford Art Gallery.

Its exterior is based on the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village (both its historical and current façades), while the interior is an amalgam of refs I got of a few LGBT clubs, and improvised w/ my weak knowledge of nightlife (at least i know the basics, and how dressing rooms look like, also wanted to make it look historical)

Requires all EPs but ITF and Pets (altho the only object from SN is te neon sign) and the CC that comes w/ Boroughsburg. No SPs or Store

Town Signs Sketchup Collection An interesting collection of town welcome/state line signs on Sketchup Warehouse, that could be useful for your worlds. Some require a bit of texture tweaking during the conversion process, but the fundamentals are there!

Very cool!

Just because I don’t play TS3 that much anymore doesn’t mean I haven’t seen @potato-ballad-sims incredible Boroughsburg world. One part of it that caught my eye was the public park with a basketball court and other activities. It seemed like just the type of thing for my Downtown (plus who needs another excuse to bulldoze the Sculpture Park?), so I took a stab at it for TS2, with some creative liberties, of course.

Hey! Will there be a final release of Eastlands from the Let's Build project?

I hope so, but my the type of world-building I like to use has shifted beyond what Eastlands utilized- that was when I tended to build out the world’s theming using only lots. Unfortunately, that old method results in very memory-heavy worlds (keep in mind that every wall and floor is still a mesh!), and so I now focus on creating worlds with fewer lots, but with more custom-made CC that does the heavy lifting in terms of world-building.  As such, if/when I return to Eastlands, it’ll be a more significant reworking of the world itself, focusing on adding better detail and atmosphere as efficiently as possible. I also want to reorient the world’s regionality, as the original concept unfortunately ended up a bit culturally scatterminded to my liking.

hi there, hope your day is going well!! i love your animated wind turbines, and i was wondering if you’d consider uploading the script & jazz script you wrote to make it work? (couldn’t seem to find it in the package file)

i’m attempting to make my own animated object at the moment and i thought it might help me to see how you structured yours. though if you don’t feel comfortable with sharing it, no worries!! 😊

Hey @omedapixel, Thanks! TBH, I just cloned the EA windmill in TSRW, replaced the mesh, and reassigned the bones- no need for any scripting or jazz files! Unfortunately I’m not quite familiar with animations as they are not my area of expertise, so my experience ends there. However, if you head over to the TS3 Creator Cave Discord (link here), you may be able to find someone who may be able to help!
