i honestly don’t know how people do long distance relationships - one of the people i care about the most lives 5 hours away and i feel that distance keenly at least 1 time per week when i wish for nothing more than the ability to participate in our old weekly routine - i can’t imagine how painful distance would be in a romantic relationship

closure is something we all hope for when relationships end - i know i’ll never receive it. i’ve grown stronger in the knowledge that i can feel seen outside of this friend’s presence and attention. may his life go the way he deserves. sometimes, the hardest thing is letting go of something that used to mean the world to you
