🙃 life is so hard and for what. it took like 4 hours but i finally fixed the damn thing. all this because i wanted to replace some broken image links 😭

1) had just loaded a copy of chapter 1, with the usernames and proper karma count and number of replies, on separate tab NOT EVEN 10 MINUTES PRIOR

2) had not deleted the spreadsheet i made linking every username to its user icon (and even noted down the image link to each icon!)

3) had not deleted the codesandbox project that contained the complete code (though without any of the info in the points above), THAT I HAD MEANT TO DELETE FOR MONTHS BUT KEPT FORGETTING

if any of those three points had not applied, i would have cried. i think i would legit have deleted the entire thing. that would have been weeks of work gone down the drain.

all i wanted to do was fix some broken links 😭

It's really important to me to portray Kiran as aro/ace-spec, especially in light of Fjorm and specifically Seiðr (+others). It's my ultimate way of pushing back against IntSys. It's my ultimate way of taking back agency where none was allowed.

Kiran doesn't get a say in romance and doesn't get a say in having children. Kiran can do nothing but try to look away as IntSys pushes one woman after another into their arms. Kiran doesn't get to tell these women no.

But they can deny them reciprocation.

.....but it is true that I'm much better suited for non-fluffy stuff. Day 3 and Day 5 were so much easier (and funner) to write, the ideas just manifested fully formed in my brain.

I forgot to add this tidbit to purple mort bleu (and the endnote is already gigantic as always) but the reason Kyle helps Kenny with EngLit is because Kenny gets too caught up in whatever novel/novella/play/poem they're studying and starts rambling. Kyle's there to help keep him on point.

You know how in any lit class, if there's a "silent note-taking" period, there's always that one person who just spends it reading the entire thing/chapter/act over for fun? While everyone else is taking chapter/character/etc notes? That's Kenny.
