hello! LMAO sam the surfer is a man, a myth, a legend. you can and should watch the og convo about him here (at 4:53) but basically he's this guy that phil has run into 3 separate times in 3 different airports around the world. phil was convinced this meant they were fated to meet but dan being a cynic — and definitely a little jealous lol — refused to accept that it was anything other than coincidence. maybe a cool coincidence, but coincidence nonetheless. he was being very pissy about it it was hilarious

so with that reaction in mind, it's really funny when in wdapteo 4 phil is going on really excitedly about how he and dan went to the same swedish café and ordered the same pastry 10 years apart, and dan's reaction is not "yeah well some things are just bound to happen because the universe is really big", like it was re: sam the surfer, but rather ":) hehe :))) this is so cute 🥰 so crayzy 🤪 me and phil really Did That 💅🏼 Just Soulmate Things™️ amirite ✨"
