Final words
Premium’s closing event is right around the corner. We have polished our deliverable and have arranged to meet with our client and mentor tomorrow when we will present the outcome of the project and reflect on our Premium experience.
On a more transparent note, we would like to tell you a little bit more about what we learnt on a personal level and what challenges we had to face in order to get to where we are now.
Deciding on dates and times for our meetings was one of our main struggles. We are not sure if it’s because we come from different faculties or whether our daily routines and ways to manage time are fairly varied. But, hey, we powered on and by adjusting and compromising we found ways to arrange our meetings frequently and work fruitfully.
On a more positive note, Romin improved her interpersonal skills, Jean learnt how to use new tools and softwares, Robin got better at managing his time, and Liva appreciated getting acquainted with tech-talk - softwares. wireframes. prototypes. UX. UI.
Cheerios!

What have we been up to...
After our last meeting with Video Power, our team entered a new phase of the project.
Since then, we have been working on transforming and transporting our notes, thoughts, brainstorming sessions and Video Power’s feedback onto a prototyping software called Balsamiq Wireframes. The site helped us materialize the project and allowed us to not only start actively working on the final deliverable, but also to exercise our creativity and think about various practicalities that hide behind well-made and well-functioning websites.
A while later we had created more than 30 wireframes which allowed us to check in with the client and receive feedback one last time before fine-tuning our deliverable which we will present to Video Power on May 28 in the form of a polished prototype of their new website.

Yesterday we had a productive meeting with our client, VideoPower. The meeting consisted of a collaborative, hands-on effort to identify the key elements that VideoPower wants to highlights on their revamped website and how they want to portray themselves to their audience. Next steps will consist of playing around with different template ideas and wireframing tools.

Before the Easter break, we met for a productive prototyping session. We played around with different landing page layouts and navigational menus. We familiarised ourselves with navigational functionality and thought of different menu tabs that are relevant to our client.

Meet Jean
Hello! I’m Jean. I’m 26 years old and I grew up in Quito, Ecuador. At the moment, I’m doing a masters degree in Media Studies: Digital Cultures, and my previous academic background revolves primarily around  literature and creative writing. I’d say that my primary hobby is consuming stories (books, movies, videogames, TV series, articles, comics, blogposts, social media, eavesdropping, walking aimlessly around the city, and, of course, a good old-fashioned chat). Regarding the personality traits, if I had to pick one, I’d chose “playful”.
