i do believe that even if one oppressed group objectively, on the whole "has it better" than another group then it doesn't mean that still don't have unique struggles/issues that are worth discussing and bringing light to. it's not necessarily dismissing or derailing from what the other group goes through, as long as you take care not to do said dissmissal/derailment. like I think multiple things can be true and discussed respectfully at once!!

really interesting how people in-universe see suitcase making any kind of decision for herself as malicious btw.

examples being:

-her befriending balloon being seen as purely to spite her alliance when she just wanted to show sympathy for him and didn't expect her allies to get roped into it

-her inadvertently getting nickel eliminated being seen as a deliberate act of betrayal when all she wanted to do was stand up for herself and balloon

-test tube unironically believing that suitcase was entirely at fault for fan's elimination

-her being put on the spot to choose a finalist and not choosing baseball being seen as backstabber behavior once again when she just wanted to be with someone who didn't make her feel like a burden

it's genuinely heartbreaking to me. hardly anyone else gets this kind of treatment. she gets punished for stepping out of her comfort zone, for trying to stand up for herself, for responding to anyone critically, for talking to people, for being a person at all.

why would she be made like this? what does this say about mephone4?
