My thoughts on Ch 9: Intrigue

First off: I LOVE ME SOME GIRL POWER!

I love how Queen's Waltz and Open Heart can be used in unison. to purify the egg.

Now that he's in a position to give her anything, he will in a way that respect her autonomy and morals. HOT!

Side notes: Kurumu, my girl, deserves more love. I love how the male jealousy is subverted once again.

I had a feeling Ikuto would respond like a cat and just not care if he doesn't have to. He is so chill for Niya to put makeup on him. I love that there's a trio of cats:

Ikuto = black cat

Tadase = white cat

Niya = calico cat

Watch Kukai come in and bring the orange cat energy

Third: Even though the new Shugo Chara isn't Ikuto's personal Shugo Chara. I do like that he looks a lot like Alto, with Ikuto going so far as to name him "Al". Also these two reacted to him as if they just met their first child. It may be my delulu but I really love how these two reacted to Al's birth. Like @chiisanahoshi said, it's not really Ikuto's shugo chara as these are given, but the look of him is uncanny.

Now that I'm done gushing, let me talk about the things that made the gears turn in my brain.

The only thing I can think of is that it relates to Miki's theory of how certain Shugo Chara's can bond with another person who is similar to their true owner

Which could explain Mirage Lynx. Also, love seeing my fav arc in the series represented.

@poyorii brought up how adults are essentially using the kids to access the power of the relics. But the rough translations on my google translate indicate that Mirage Lynx was an unexpected hinder to their plan.

This disproved my theory that the adults created Mirage Lynx to lure Amu to have access to the 3/4 relics. I also am glad that Tadase said to keep Dia hidden because it seems like the adults think Tadase can access the Diamond Pendulum.

Mirage Lynx is a completely different machination to the plot which is really intriguing. Which brings me to:

I really don't know how to read this guy.

Because on one end, Kirio seems like the Straight-laced follower who just loves rules. His volatile temperament makes me think aggro ruler enforcer.

Yet, I can't help but wonder if he has a part to play in Mirage Lynx.

Is he the one who found a way to create Mirage Lynx? Cause look how he reacted to Ikuto's presence in Ch 8

Why emphasize his reaction to Ikuto?

The reason why I emphasize this a lot is because of the way manga is so deliberate in comparison to manhwas. In manhwas, there can be a lot of decoration that is considered unneccessary. Like lots of flowers, or weird animal backgrounds or reactions from diff people.

Where mangas choose flowers in frame with special meanings. They use a lot of daisies with Amu because the theme of Alice in Wonderland is also associated with daisies. In hanakotoba, daisies represent faith which could be faith in oneself like Amu had to learn. In Tadase's backgrounds sometimes there are crowns while Ikuto's has paws and cats because it's part of their defining characteristics. It really distinguishes characters. In the second background I added, you can tell who is talking.

A lot of things in manga, especially good manga, is deliberate, intentional and purposeful. That's why I can't help but notice when there are inclusive panels of Kiriomi just reacting like this:

It's so small but I have to wonder what does he have to do with all of this?

Did he create Mirage Lynx? Why? To play hero to a thief? To disrupt the Principal's plans? Is he a secret agent like Kairi was? Will he fall in love with Amu like Kairi did?

SHUGO CHARA JJ CHAPTER 9 (SPOILERS)

Great, Shugo Chara hasn't lost its essence. The problems and the plot depend entirely on ineffective and stupid adults using children for their own purposes.

I still want Tsukasa put in jail. I'm sure he knows about that.

Peach Pit does it again!

I think we can all agree he looks like Aruto/Alto.

I love how the trauma from other bad sequels makes feel uneasy and Peach Pit likes to tug at my heartstrings with it.

They pretend to do something we're uneasy of, but then they subvert my thoughts with how much they really love their characters.

Godbless Ikuto doesn't have amnesia.

Godbless that Amu didn't regress from running away from confrontation and her own growth.

Godbless these characters aren't reverted back and we're suddenly seeing the same story all over again with slightly diff circumstances.

I was unsure about Ikuto's new Shugo Chara, but AGAIN BAM--- in just this snippet spoiler, I see a shugo chara that resembles his father. A great way to show how Ikuto's growth to openness. He couldn't talk about his dad almost his whole life. And now it's so loudly and proudly there.
