Literally my experience is that sometimes it feels like being in limbo. It's hard to find a place within the queer community and outside of it. I have women who don't think I'm actually capable of loving another women. I have a mother who still to this day says that she just doesn't see me as gay like in her eyes I'm straight. A couple years ago the chronically online take was "Bi girls: Don't bring your boyfriends to pride events." Now it's "Bi people: You're straight passing. Shut up. Your experience and feelings are invalid because everyone else suffers more than you."
My favorite part of pride month is where everyone fights over who is more oppressed and if you make any comment about your lived experience as a bi person, you’re invalid because you can pass as straight.

I've been spiraling out of control, so I used my mania to 100% SH2.

I took a week off from work and like a day into my week off I'm remembering that free time means I have unlimited time to think about stuff that makes me want to kill myself.

“Oh no, boys and men are falling behind.” Awww, maybe it’s because the minute women were allowed into male dominated spaces, anti-intellectualism amongst men increased. Their mentality is that education no longer matters now that women are furthering their education and successful at doing so. Also, women had to fight to exist in these spaces because men didn’t want them there to begin with. The reason why certain programs and opportunities exist for women is because they have historically been excluded! These things wouldn’t have to exist if society valued women the same way it values men! Also, imagine being a white man and “falling behind” in a world that caters to you. Girl, keep failing. I don’t fucking care. It's like the "male loneliness epidemic"; it's self inflicted. At the end of the day, I feel like the issue is that men don't want to be associated with women or femininity and will self-sabotage and continue to support a system that hurts them just so that distinction can continue to exist.

"what did students do before chatgpt?" well one time i forgot i had a history essay due at my 10am class the morning of so over the course of my 30 minute bus ride to school i awkwardly used by backpack as a desk, sped wrote the essay, and got an A on it.
six months later i re-read the essay prior to the final exam, went 'ohhhh yeah i remember this', got a question on that topic, and aced it.
point being that actually doing the work is how you learn the material and internalize it. ChatGPT can give you a short cut but you won't build you the the muscles.
#not to mention there are so many free resources if you need help with writing essays#our english department has a writing center where people would help you with writing assignments if you were struggling#or like idk basic communication with your professor if you don't understand something#it's why office hours exist#and yeah sometimes you just get a bad grade

"Why is it a problem if students use AI to get through college"
Because if you demonstrate to me that you're willing to set aside concern for truth, evidence, and verifying things with your own eyes whenever it happens to be inconvenient for you, I have a solemn responsibility to make sure you don't get into medical school.
#and the whole point of college is learning and then proving through your course work that you understand and can apply what you're learning#and god forbid you put in literally any effort
