Rowdyruff Boys Ref (Reset AU)

Just out of curiosity, what would Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup's winter attire look like in this?

I actually plan to design their other outfits in the future, once I finished designing the other outfits in the SD AU. I don't think I'll be quick enough to design them on the brim but I already kinda imagine its a mix of these outfits. Will say that their outfits will be a mix of the PPG Classic "Twas The Fight Before Christmas" and the usual PPG 2016 ones. Surprisingly that's when the classic only portrayed their winter outfits, the rest are mostly merch or other media, which I want to keep as close to their canon media as possible. One things certain though that it be a consistent thing is that Blossom will have earmuffs, Buttercup would always wear a winter hat of some sort, and Bubbles will always have a scarf. Bubbles in the OG show has a hat as well but some how does not have it anymore in the reboot, so I think Bubs might not have a hat for that case. Or might have something else? Dunno though exactly for now but Reset Bubs most likely not have hat since it wouldn't balance out.

Powerpuff Girls Ref (Reset AU)

Finally got like an updated ref for the girls in this AU! I did updated Buttercup's hair clip design and provided what Blossom's hair clip look like as well since it looks different for this AU. As both Classic and Reboot swap the hair clip colors between the heart and clip itself. I couldn't exactly figure out choosing one so my friend helped me out with picking a new color.

I plan to provide more refs in the future for this AU too! It just well.. will take a while ^^; So hope you guys like it!

Rowdyruff Boys?

Are the Rowdyruff Boys also in this? are they anti-heroes or redeemed or still villains?

The Rowdyruff Boys are still villains in this AU! That never changed for sure, though they probably have rare moments of truces or just indifferences whenever they don't act like villains, just like the rest of the villains as well. Though unlike my other AUs they won't play a major role in the story, they have a more minor if not moderate role. I actually plan to draw them at one point since I was stumped on their design due to PPG 2016 not providing much differences in their designs unlike the girls so I had to come up with potential differences that are also yet simple. Which I did have a concept on their design already, it would just take a bit for me to get the refs out.

Comfort Items (Reset AU)

If you guys are familar with this drawing you might've already seen in on my main blog, I'm just relocating the artwork here.

Finally was able to get it done! I noticed in both shows on the many things Buttercup find comfort or enjoyment of these things, one thing I noticed in the original show is how much Buttercup was in a way discouraged to have things that give you comfort just because she’s supposed to be the toughest? I know her sisters tease her to get back at her or give an importance on not relying on comfort items.

Honestly in my opinion, its ok to have these items for comfort but it should always be used as a crutch, and not something to be completely rely on 24/7. Kinda like how Bubbles does it sorta. So in my Reset AU, not only she gets to keep the items but I imagine she has more as well. That being her blanket and Monsieur Duckie be her 2 main faves. The other 2 toys are a reference/callback to 2 episodes in the original show where she had those things.

I wanted to explore more with her altered cowlick and had a bit of fun with it! Maybe one day I can do one representing her multiple emotions.

I also tried to do lineless background again, and honestly I’m getting the hang of it .3. Anyways hope you guys like it!

PPG Reset Bedroom

Art that I did back in November of 2023, the design honestly took me a while for the bedroom as I recalled it took one month just to complete the dang thing. Considering it was my first time doing lineless art. So far I like how the design looked, as I have took aspects from both 1998 - 2005 bedroom of the PPG and the 2016 designs of the bedroom as well giving it a sort of mix. The hotline is inspired by my childhood where we had landlines around the 2010's so I implemented the landlines as the PPG's hotline. Anyways hope you guys like it!

Bunny and Bliss (Reset AU)

This is a drawing that I did in back of September of 2024, Bunny and Bliss does exist in this AU, I have a couple of AUs with Bunny being in there, but this is probably the only AU I own that would have Bliss in there since most of my AUs are classic coded.

It took a while to come up with Bliss's design but I liked how it turned out so far, I want her to have like a reddish brownish hair to compliment with her silver color which was inspired by the OG "perfect girl" in the "Whoopass Girls" pilot. And no NOT Bell by Bleedman.

Which funny enough she was going to have silvery white hair as well but decide against it after many others say that the reddish brown hair looks better. I tried to reflect the hair style on the "original Bliss" as well as making her hair kinda like a mix of the girls each since that is what she is supposed to be.

She has back hair as well as a small heart shaped bun tied up. (Not a cowlick mind you)

Bunny does exist in my other AUs but I wanted to do something that reflects more on her canon design this time, as well as seeing a lot more recently people drawing Bunny being stablized whilest retaining her OG form and I kinda like that .3. Though that does not change the other Bunny designs from other AUs.

Powerpuff Girls Ending Hearts (Reset AU)

I'm gonna start migrating some old art here to this blog to kickstart this. This was an old drawing I did back in August of 2023, I honestly should make official flat color refs but honestly for the girls they just kinda look close to canon apart from slight color mixture change and the girls each having a hair accessory to their own. Not to mention I did actually edited Buttercup's skull clip to have dark green parts instead of black so one day I have to redo them lol. The skull hair clip is inspired by the merch like the plushie and brushable doll of PPG 2016 if you're wondering on the choice for the hair clip. The floating cow lick/hair flick/ahoge on Buttercup actually changes depending how she feels, which is a detail I ended loving a lot. Anyways hope you guys like it! Who is running this blog? - Hi I'm Kayla! Or known as @kaylatechheart on my main! Wait hold up, the icon and banner ain't your art, who made this? - It is made by my very special friend @irken-pony :D (Go follow her or else /hj) What is an AU? - Stands for "Alternate Universe". What kind of AU is this? - This is a fusion/original AU of the Powerpuff Girls from the classic show from 1998 to 2005 and the rebooted show from 2016-2018. Despite being a mix between the two shows, this universe is NOT connected back with the other two shows, meaning it is it's own thing. What is the AU about? - An AU that focuses on the girls day to day crime fighting and slice of life moments, however it delves into a storyline where they discover weird glimpses or glitches in their memories, of being memories from both their classic and reboot counterparts. It's up to them to find out what the memories means and why it is happening. Which leaves them in a state and journey about finding themselves as a person due to identity issues and who they really are, what their origins are as well as learn to be stronger with each other. Is this AU built from scratch or canon diverged at some point in time? - It is completely built from scratch! Considering the world building is from both shows I combined them and made my own sets of origins, although most would be kept in line with the show. This will not be directly connected to the main shows in anyway other than their fused connections, however would probably connected in other means. Didn't the PPG 2016 (Reboot) claimed that they are "canon/connected" to the classic show, is it like that for your AU? - Honestly they only reference that twice but I'm assuming its because the creators want to piggy back off the original show's success. Even Craig (Creator of Classic PPG) basically rejected PPG 2016 due to the shitshow it was so honestly I consider those two separate universes because of the time line and how the world works. The reboot could have it originate from the "classic show" but it be a separate entire universe itself. So no my universe is completely separate from the entire show, both of the shows. Where and when this AU takes place? - This AU takes place around the 2010's time wise, as the one of the shows took place around late 90's to early 2000's and the other took place in almost near 2020's so I made so it be around the late 2000's and early 2010's as a balance. How old are the girls in this AU? - The girls are 7-8 years old and are currently in 2nd grade. Since the classic show has them around 5-6 years old in kindergarten and the reboot had them (also 5-6 years old which makes no freaking sense so I thought they be honestly 6-7 years old instead) and are in 1st grade. Will Bliss be in this AU? - Yes and Bunny too! Will some characters be changed drastically or not at all? - For the AU, the characters will be a mix of the OG and Rebooted counterparts so yes there would be some changes to their personality. HOWEVER I'll make sure that its written well and not cringe as hell. Because ngl I like some traits for the reboot personalities but not all. :P Am I allowed to draw fanart for this AU? - Of course!
