Reyhaneh Jabari, an Iranian woman who was tortured in jail then hanged after killing the man who was going to rape her. (x)

Nojood Al-Ali from Yemen who got divorced when she was 10. (x)

the 16-year-old girl from Ohio who got raped

and filmed at a party by 2 boys, while CNN reporters talked about the bright futures of the rapists as athletes. (x)

the 94 women in Jordan who were legally married to their rapists, only in 2014. (x)

the 8-year-old girl who was married to a man 5 times her age, and died on the day of her wedding because she suffered from bleeding and

uterine rupture after intercourse. (x) 

the 25 Palestinian women who were killed by either their brother or father, in order to “protect their honor” only in 2013. (x)

the 99% of Egyptian women and 90% of Yemeni women who have experienced sexual harassment (x) (x)

you can preach about slut-shaming all you want, but you can’t deny there’s something very wrong with 13 and 14-year old girls going out in skirts and dresses so short they barely cover their asses and shirts with necklines so low they show off cleave they haven’t got yet, drinking and even smoking and hooking up with guys before they even have a substantial knowledge of how sex and sexual relationships work.

Don’t shame the girls who sent pictures of themselves half-naked to their significant others as a way to express eroticism which is healthy and natural… give the people hell who think it’s okay to destroy someone’s trust and distribute those images simply for entertainment purposes.

On May 27th, a friend of mine got into a very serious car accident. The driver was going 70+ mph in a 25 mph zone when they lost control of the car, struck the curb, and crashed into a utility pole. The impact was so intense that the pole snapped.

The driver is currently safe at home with a sprained wrist, but my friend wasn’t so lucky. My friend is currently at Yale Hospital in New Haven, CT in a coma. She suffers from many injuries, including a fractured pelvis, broken vertebrae, at least one broken rib, two fractures in her skull which have caused bleeding in her brain and swelling, and they’re currently running more tests.

A couple of her friends have created a GoFundMe page to help the family pay for medical expenses. The cost of keeping her on her lifeline is simply too much for the family, and any donations/getting word out would be greatly appreciated. The link to the GoFundMe page is here.

i remember once i was walking to class near this group of guys and one of them saw his girlfriend and one of his friends was like “c’mon man bros before hoes” and the guy looked him dead in the eye and said “she’s the bro and y’all bitches are the hoes” before going to talk to his girlfriend and i have never seen a group of guys in sagging jeans and ridiculous shoes look so offended
