Agriculturist Vito Prepares For The Lion’s Arch Farmer’s Market 🌱

(this is just one of his house kitchens, centrally located in gendarran fields. 5 others are dotted throughout tyria along with farms covering a wide range of climates and soil qualities. although the days when he personally managed every mound of dirt in his first damp cave-garden are over, he is adamant that his stand at the weekly farmer’s market - stocked with fresh produce and a small selection of prepared snacks - keep a personal flair. this week features rose petal-cranberry granola, roasted almond brittle, and classic apple tarts.)

personally, i am firmly of the belief that charr invented or at least popularized the hamburger.

because think about it. you've got a large army of mostly carnivores that need to be fed. you can't pack heavy rations, they'll just weigh your soldiers down, so you don't have enough food to go around. you can't be caught in a place for too long, so no long cooking times or overly rich meals.

so you have some soldiers mix up flour and water for a dough (you're going to war, yeast isn't going to win any battles), and have a few others hack what meat you have into mince. maybe you add some herbs to the mince for a bit of flavour. you cook the dough and mince in a pan, hells, you could probably use a shield if you put it over some flames.

the end result? some kind of hamburger, maybe not the most delectable, but at least it's something. and if you've got any left over, just wrap them in some wax paper and you've got food for later.
