#sundaymotivation #sundaythoughts I read #thinklikeamonk by Jay Shetty and he made a comparison of MONK MIND vs MONKEY MIND. This video clearly shows what really monkey mind is. Sometimes we humans also fall in this trap. What do you think is your learning after watching this video. #humans #growth #focus

In 2016, I fondly remember being a part of the inaugural Startup India initiative which cemented India’s rise as the startup capital of the world. Recently as we celebrated National Startup Day, I took a moment to reflect upon the growth of Indian entrepreneurship. The last decade has been phenomenal for Indian startups. It took 18 years in 2000 for the startup ecosystem to reach $100 million in revenue. This has come down to 5 years in 2017, according to RedSeer. 👏🏻 60% of Indian unicorns emerged during the tumultuous period of 2021 and 2022. The real story is yet to unfold! (Inc42 Media) I believe the next generation of unicorns will emerge from Tier 2 and 3 cities. A big enabler in India’s startup ecosystem success has been the resilient entrepreneurs, investors, an abundant talent pool, a supportive government, and the collaboration between public & private sectors. The world’s eyes are on us and despite the challenges in the global economy, I believe that “Build in India, for the world” would be the strongest driving force for founders across India. My gratitude to Shri Narendra Modi ji, Startup India, DPIIT, NITI Aayog, founders, media, investors, and every other stakeholder who has enabled entrepreneurship to flourish, making India the global epicentre of it! 🙌🏻 #startup #entrepreneurship #india

Warren Buffett calls him the smartest man he knows: Charlie Munger. Together they've built a $991 billion empire. And his speeches are a masterclass in decision making, rationality, and success. On Charlie’s 99th birthday Here're 10 of his best ideas to help you winning at business and life: 1. “Knowing what you don’t know is more useful than being brilliant.” Most people spend their lives wrestling with the consequences of poor decisions. But the truth is it’s much easier to avoid stupidity than try to be smart. Admit you know nothing. Remove ego from the equation. 2 “A majority of life’s errors are caused by forgetting what one is really trying to do.” We set goals, pursue them, then get distracted. To achieve something meaningful, you need to constantly correct course. Set a north star and keep it front of mind. 3. “Mimicking the herd invites regression to the mean.” If you do the same as everyone else, you’ll get the same results. But most people are: • Unhappy • Unfulfilled • Unmotivated Following society’s standards traps you in them. 4. “To get what you want, you have to deserve what you want.” Naval once said the world is an efficient place. You can’t control results, but you can control your: · Character · Work ethic · Willingness to learn 5. “The fundamental algorithm of life – repeat what works.” It’s easy to overcomplicate success. But the truth is everything you do creates feedback. Smart people listen. When something goes poorly, do less. When something goes well, do it much more. 6. “Those who keep learning, will keep rising.” Most people stop learning at 18. Munger is still going at 99. Knowledge is an asset that compounds over time. The more you know, the better you think. Better choices, great consequences. 7. “You don’t have to be brilliant, only a little bit wiser than the other guys, on average, for a long time.” Berkshire Hathaway is valued at $991.89 billion. Buffet and Munger’s approach? Rationality and patience. It isn’t a sexy approach, but the results sure as hell are. 8. “The best thing a human being can do is help another human being know more.” The best way to live your life is in service to other people. Share what you know and help others win. 9. “We insist on a lot of time being available almost every day to just sit and think.” We live at a time of constant input. Everyone wants to maximise every moment for productivity. But life is cause and effect. Decisions are the key to success. Time to think is the priority. 10. “You must know the big ideas in the big disciplines and use them routinely.” Principles from: · Maths · Physics · Biology · Philosophy · Engineering All have a profound impact on life. Study mental models. Build a toolkit Which one did you like the most? It’s not about time spent, it is about value created Zerodha is a perfect example, other companies like Motilal oswal, IIFL, Sharekhan and others have spent more than 20 years but are not even 20 percent of Zerodha’s market share. Today #zerodha is generating highly profitable revenue. A big congratulations to Nikhil Kamath Nithin Kamath for building such a great customer oriented company As one of your customers, I can vouch for your technology and product. #technology #stockmarketinvesting #stockmarket #stockmarketindia #stocktrading

In 2014, first time I realized the potential of shared economy when Uber came to India. I felt it was magic and I have ever been in love with Uber Being a very regular user of Uber ( at peak I have spent Rs 20,000 in a month on Uber), I have seen unparalleled improvement in user experience. So I thought of showing you, “How India Ubered this year?” 1. Indians travelled 450 Crore kms 😳😳in Uber this year. That’s equivalent to 6,000 trips to moon and back or 1,12,000 times moving around earth 🌍. 2. Indians spent 11 billion minutes in this year in Uber which means every Indian has spent 8 minutes in Uber this year. That’s a lot of Ubering 3. Most trips are booked between 5 pm to 6 pm, shows that we are more worried to leave office on time than to reach on time. 4. The revenue of Uber is Rs. 400 Crs, however their losses are a whooping Rs. 216 Crs. People blame them for not sharing enough with the driver. It seems otherwise that they are not able to Breakeven in India. India has got hooked on to Uber but it seems Profitability is still a far fetched dream since India is a very price sensitive market. But the fact is that Uber has definitely made life a lot simpler and convenient for the users, for which it deserves A GRAND SALUTE 🫡 What has been your personal experience with Uber and do you prefer your own car or Uber? #people #experience #india #userexperience #economy #uber #uberindia #convenience #startupindia #startup
