A poem about sacrifice
The Sacrifice of Living
A man fell in love with someone he thought could give him everything. Like a mother loves her child unconditionally, he only received pain and peace.
Like the sun loves the moon, but the moon loves the stars. Then the sun never disturbs the moon, But the sun still shines on the moon's shadow. The moon keeps looking for the stars, and "yet never reaches them" "despite love bringing as much pain."
The stars look for the galaxy, but they never notice the moon. Similarly, the man failed in love. He told lies for his love, and those lies turned into sacrifice.
His life becomes like a mountain, frozen like ice, unable to move on. He becomes a sacrifice for his love, but the one he loved never felt love for him. The man still lived in love and lies, but his eyes never lied. They reveal tears, tears he covers with a smile, like a child.
"In his pain, he began to see the value of love, a treasure he knew he could never hold. So he chose to live in darkness, promising never to fall in love again."
He lives like a dead person, unseen, because her happiness became his happiness. So he learned the way to live— the sacrifice of living.
