Enver suppresses a shudder, reminding himself that his mother had always told him to think the best of people. That, of course, was before she’d sold him to a devil, stuttering out apologies and explanations, and he’d decided to stop listening to her opinions. Believing the worst in people has generally served him well ever since. In this particular case, however… he’d really rather not believe Orin lusts after her sibling. For once, he’d love to give the benefit of the doubt, and assume he’s jumping to unwarranted conclusions after a lifetime of mistrust and paranoia. The way Orin looks at Kallian doesn’t make that easy. Gortash is looking forward to getting some time alone with his new partner on the journey to Moonrise. When Orin invites herself along, it quickly becomes the worst trip of his life.

Do you guys ever think about the fact that Enver went to tadpole his parents personally.

"I should have slammed the door in his face, but I let him in and he rammed some kind of worm in our eyes." That's what Sally says when you read her thoughts.

Like, he went to their house. He knocked on the door. Sally let him in. What do you think his excuse was? What did he say to make them let him in? Was he wearing his finest clothes to prove a point, or work clothes because they weren't worth keeping up appearances for?

Do you think he tried one last time to give them a chance to earn his forgiveness, even if he was never going to grant it?

"He said he wanted to make us powerless."

He stayed after, even when they could no longer respond properly, locked in their own minds. He stayed to gloat, to make sure they knew why. He wanted them to know. If he didn't care he would have just left, but part of him is still stuck in that house trying to prove that he's better.

Do you think he got the catharsis he wanted from it, or did he leave feeling even more bitter, knowing that no matter what he did it would never be enough?

Knowing that no matter what he did, his parents were never going to love him, even if he can make them say the words. Knowing that he has the tools to make the whole world love him, but that the absence of love made him who he is. Knowing that love doesn't matter in the end— only control does.

Fun fact! Gortash is a trans man in this one too. Unlike Omut, he's fully transformed with magic (DnD has to have some powerful gender wizards, you can't convince me otherwise.)

Omut, on the other hand, is unfortunate to be Bhaal's own flesh — and Bhaal, for some reason, is too greedy with his child's body. Most changes can always be denied or reversed, be it for punishment or by Bhaal's random want. Only his choice counts.

You can imagine how envious he is of Gortash.

Fun fact #2: Both poses are inspired by different Venus/Aphrodite art! Specifically Townley Venus for Gortash and a mix of The Birth of Venus (by Sandro Botticelli) and Aphrodite of Menophantos.

You know how they say it: women are from Venus, men are from Mars... Ugh. 🙄 But lucky for us, we can always move planets.

Also I just wanted to make a slutty Gortash pose, and there's nearly not enough cool Mars art. At least on Wikipedia. 😔

Ok. You know what I actually really enjoy scrolling through the BG3 fandom? When two people just have art or talk about their Tavs/Durges being friends or lovers.

I love that.

Especially, lovers. (I am a hopeless romantic after all. I just want pining people to kiss already).

Like, your characters are: Yeah, sure, I travel with a group of sexually attractive problematics, but have you seen that guy?! Over there? Existing? In the multiverse?!

I just imagine someone scrolling one day when they see another posting about their Tav and suddenly a single cell dUrge appears to smash that like button. Yes that person was thinking about all the crimes against humanity their dUrge is committing, but their dUrge said "if that one asked me to be the savior of the world they would be worth defying Bhaal for."

I love the circle some of y'all have where your characters don't even need to romance the companions, they're romancing each other.
