My issue against Kpop music(mostly mid gen 4 and onwards)

As a music listener, my case has always been "I'd listen to the track once,if a part gets stuck in my brain then its a banger." I'm not the "my faves released this...so even if I don't like it, imma continue listeni ng to it until it grows on me." Music ain't trees yall, wtf is even 'growing on me'?

I'm the Queen in this Life: Webtoon Review

For those who didn't read this webtoon- Spoilers ahead.

For those who read this webtoon beyond 100 chapters- You can give me Spoilers.

People who have read the 'rebirth for revenge' trope multiple times will probably not find the story interesting enough. However, while this webtoon showed love and betrayal in the very premise, it is more interesting to see how the FL politically navigates through her circumstances, both in her family and in the royal court.

And let me tell you one thing- women taking justified revenge in a well planned manner is never boring no matter how many stories are created under the same trope.

Now, the reason I started to write this review is the main antagonist of this webtoon- Cesar aka Count de Cormo. Introduced as the main love interest of the FL in her original lifetime, whom she blindly ;oved and was betrayed by him (yeah yeah, the same backstory for at least 985 other webtoons). Let me tell you, as I know how these characters go in such stories, I wanted to fast forward his scenes and get on with the FL's revenge part and her alternative male lead which happened to be the half-brother of the of the antagonist and the OG crown prince.

For me Cesar was another Sovieshu(The Remarried Empress) or another Park Minhwan (Marry My Husband). But the writer of this webtoon seemed to have their own plans. Instead of making Cesar a one-dimensional villain, we get to see his backstory and his misplaced but justified anger.

Introduced as a casanova who doesn't see women beyond toys and disposable products, he shows a slightly different side of his to the FL. However, the most intriguing part to me personally was when he sees through the sugary sweet behaviour of the cunning older half-sister of the FL and decided not to entertain her. This is because th scene starkly contrasts the scene of the beginning of the webtoon- where he dishonors the 14 year engagement with the FL to marry this said half sister. It made me question are those two actually the same character? Was this an error on the author's part by mistakenly making him morally grey instead of purely negative? Or does the author want to take is through a journey of how Cesar went from THIS to THAT?

It seriously feels like waiting for a tragedy to unfold and our FL won't probably go completely unscathed of this tragedy around this time as well.

P. S: For anyone who wants to bring up Love Alarm, Hye Young was the accurate partner for a confused, traumatized and insecured person like Jojo. She and Sun Oh weren't exactly ever on the same page. However, the writing and execution of that part of the storyline (Season 2) was poor.

Jeong Won Chang

Dude was phenomenal in the first season of The Uncanny Counter

But even more chilling in 'Shark'

Nam Yoon Su

This man has already done a lead role in Today's Webtoon.

Made us feel for him in The King's Affection

But seeing him in Extracurricular made me realise,he still deserves to see more of stardom.

A Kpop post

I feel like p1harmony is the GOT7 of 4th generation- more known for their variety show appearances and all the meme contents they provide to the Kpop fandom as a whole(esp Jackson and Keeho),but are criminally underrated as artists and their discographies slap. Like,I'm still bopping to GOT7's 'If you Do'

And I jammed p1harmony's 'Jump' and 'Killin it'

I understand now

Idk which post that was but there was a comment that said, "Sunjae is so Han Seojun coded" and I felt a deja vu. The whole cool dude persona on the outside while being a softie on the inside...simping hard for the girl he likes but trying to make it not too obvious.

All the scenes they show with Sol reciprocating Sunjae's feelings is EVERYTHING I wanted to see between Seojun and Jukyung.

I know the True Beauty drama fandom has been divided between Lee Suho and Han Seojun from the very beginning. Even a huge part of Seojun fandom don't exactly ship Seojun with Jukyung because she never noticed his efforts. But that's how Im Sol and Ryu Sunjae started off as well and would've ended like that as well if the time jump element wasn't added to the story.

Even the fanfiction writers don't do justice a lot of times to this pairing,to tie up the lose ends and the what ifs.

Lovely Runner two sided confession scenes on the other hand...esp a well established idol Sunjae still hung up on that one girl he liked in highschool,who rejected his confession and him still keeping her photo...EVERYTHING ABOUT THAT SCENE SCREAMED HAN SEOJUN. And something I desperately wanted to see between Seojun and Jukyung.

And this is why Lovely Runner pulls me in. This specific reason.

I know people would say, what's Suho's fault in this. He loved her first and loved her sincerely too. No fault. I'd just prefer a Frenemies to Friends to Lover story added with angst and slowburn over another cliche Cinderella story.

After Seojun becomes busy with his career and isn't a constant part of Jukyung's life anymore- both due to professional and personal reasons,I wanted to see Jukyung starting to miss him inwardly. Even with Suho by her side,I wanted to see her struggling to come to terms that she feels like a huge spot in her life has been empty. Of course she doesn't think of it much other than missing a friend who was a significant part of her life. That changes when he hears Seojun singing a sing soulfully dedicated to her,making her involuntarily cry. Suho notices everything but says nothing for a while,hoping he is reading too much into things. But that changes when he sees Jukyung visibly upset over a dating rumor of Seojun. Even Jukyung is confused why she is upset that her once bestie finally found someone. Is she upset because she wasn't the first person to know about it, that she doesn't know what's actually going on with his life anymore...until Suho decides to speak up the reason- okay, I should stop here. This post is already too long.

But in my vision, Seojun and Jukyung(drama version) will always end up together when they get older because theirs was a very natural and organic relationship in contrast to the fairytale-ish Suho Jukyung.

And that is what I felt with Soljae. Sol couldn't see beyond Taesung and never even noticed Sunjae's presence but look how the time travelling changed things. Making Seokyung a thing wasn't impossible if makers wanted to(you have probably heard this for 98397584793485 times already).

I didn't hate Byun Woo Seok's role when I watched Kang Nam Soon,but I hated it here. I even asked myself- am I going too far with the hate?

(Spoiler alert!!!)

But him(Jinwoo) kissing Miso at the temple, and giving her his locket sealed the deal for me. There was no coming back from that point. Moreover,this issue was never shown to be addressed from his point. Even though the narrative showed he loved and kept loving Haeun till the end,how pure was his love? What if Miso didn't push him away? His love became a thorny cage for Haeun. I felt such resentment towards this character if I look at it from Haeun's p.o.v. Her walking out on him on their marriage day,having the baby without his knowledge and not even giving him the right to give his surname to the kid was a poetic justice.

He was neither completely honest,nor completely understanding. If his feelings were swinging and swirling,the least he could do was to break it off with her with integrity. That would've spared a lot of heartache for all 3 of them.

I would not recommend this movie to my friends. I would not rewatch this movie.

I got Itaewon class vibes when they discuss what they like about each other to each other. I get 20th Century Girl vibes from the love triangle.

When you really think this is going to be a gay movie but it's straight all the way through. I'm left with more questions than answers with this film. The time jumps are kinda confusing and not knowing fully what reality is is confusing lol. This boy is not worth all this fighting, but also he deserves to know about his kid.. Whenever Mi So and Ha Eun fight, I'm like what are we even fighting about? What is the real issue here, especially if you're not even gay for each other?

I thought him to be just a pretty face who can do the bare minimum to be casted in high school romcoms. And that he gets projects because of his popularity as a Wanna One member.

I thought that romance genres weren't his forte, even though he acts well.

The dude has the looks, the voice, the figure but his acting skill is kinda bland to be a main character.

This guy can only pull off comedic roles.

Good actor but his skills are limited to acting the cute kid next door
