Kukur Tihar and Adoption Drive ❤️🌻 Who says adoption events can’t be fun 🤩 The Gangtok chapter held an adoption drive on the occasion of Kukur Tihar on 3rd November 2021. 🐶 The drive was a part of the Diwali Mela at SMIMS (Sikkim Manipur Institute of Medical Sciences), Gangtok. We organised this event so that we could find loving families for our adorable tiny pups.🥰🧡 Four puppies were waiting for their forever homes, one of them was our own 6 month old Kanchi being taken care of by our volunteer Roshni Thapa and three 2 and a half month old puppies found by volunteer Swarnanjali Chhetri. 🤩 We received an overwhelmingly positive response from the community and the puppies were adopted within 40 minutes with people literally fighting over the chance to provide a new and wholesome life to these pups. ✌️😃 The event was highly successful ending with us performing the Kukur Tihar ceremonies with the pups putting tikka and garlands on our beloved pups. 💖 Some interesting games were also organised as a part of the event, the proceeds from which will be utilised by the Gangtok Chapter. 🤗 The event ended up being so well received that we even got interviews with local news channels and a chance to feature in a documentary by the crew of ‘Shining Sikkim’. 🌸💫✨ A special thanks to all the volunteers, the chapter lead, Shaurya and the participants for coming forward and making this event a success ❤️💟🌟 #adoption #adoptiondrive #adoptdontshop🐾 #dogsofinstagram #adopt #rescue #love #dog #rescuedog #family #dogs #rescuedogsofinstagram #adoptionrocks #cute #cat #catsofinstagram #puppy #foster #kittens #fostercare #cats #adoptionjourney #pet #kitty #dogstagram #adoptme#dogsofig #adoptables (at Sikkim-Manipal Institute of Medical Sciences) https://www.instagram.com/p/CWNI8qiJoG3/?utm_medium=tumblr

Since noticing the street dogs movements, the Istanbul Municipality officials began tracking his commutes via a microchip and a phone app. Most days he will pass through at least 29 metro stations and take at least two ferry rides. He has learnt how and where to get on and off the trains and ferries. Holaaaaa🪁 Namaste🤗 Nomoskaar💕 Sastriaakaal 💖 It seems unreal to have turned 2️⃣ today! Yet here we are. With a concept that most didn't understand or contemplate, it was difficult to bring the cause to the table. We were not just talking about animal welfare and rights, we were talking about bridging the lack of understanding and pushing the boat for humane education 🧩🥲 On most days and nights, we have struggled, cried, fought with each other for reasons known closest to our hearts. Yet we prevailed. It ain't a BIG battleship that we conquered and we still have miles to go in this regard, learning from fellow organizations, mentors and definitely our on-ground volunteers 💖 We learn something new everyday. It's unreal how a female duo one day thought of cracking up and actually making it worthwhile. Today when we interview volunteers and interns, the first thing they mention is: we love that yours is a women-led organization and then they come in and realize it's so much more than that. We are super proud of our first batch of interns who are young, dynamic and earnest individuals. Today when they write on their CVs about working with us, it gives us immense pride and satisfaction. It isn't about a document but rather causing even those companies hiring them to review and reach out to us. In a way, that's spreading awareness and kindness too 💖🤗 Hats off to every single volunteer who's made PRCF India what it is today 💜 We always push for community building and now more than ever, whenever/wherever our volunteers are, the impact is real. The impact is slowly forming its own whirlpool. Touchwood 🤩 Thank you to our kind donors and patrons who've made their contributions through time, love and spirit. Abandonment and Parvo This puppy was adopted few days back and then abandoned by his adopters😢 Our team was not even informed by the adopters about them abandoning this tiny puppy on the road 🥺 On further probing, the family said that the puppy had vomiting issues and was passing loose stools. They dismissed this condition as diarrhoea. PRCF team rescued the pup once again from the streets and consulted a vet.
