because that’s what it learnt the first time it met the Doctor. the first time it met any other life. it learnt how they turn on each other, how it can gain power by making monsters out of people.

so this is what it became. because of what they did to each other.

Ok maybe I’m crazy but in the context of everything else going on in the show I’m actually glad they didn’t confirm Buddie this episode. Like I for sure think there’s an element of queerbaiting going on but like. It would have felt rushed. Did they need to kill Bobby? No, they could’ve not done that and focused on other plot lines instead, which would have freed up time. Could they have given a nod to it, or even a slight progression in the development? Yes, of course.

BUT in the context of everything happening, there was no way buddie could fully happen this season and be well written, queerbaiting or not.

If they had pursued it, then Bobbie’s death and its effect on the team would not have been fully explored and given the weight it deserves. ADDITIONALLY, the Buddie resolution would have felt rushed as well, and I’m sure in that case people would be complaining about it not being given the respect and time it deserves. It would feel incomplete and like it’s only there to appease people.

Plus, can you see Buck, king of “I don’t like change” and Eddie “man I just started getting over one version of parental trauma” getting together in the wake of losing a central father figure in their life?

There simply wasn’t enough time late season between the Eddie/Texas/Chris plot line and the Bobby death plotline.

None of this means I think Buddie will actually happen next season. But if it happens I want it to happen right, not rushed. It’s been 8 seasons coming, a lackluster frantic moment would almost be a bigger slap in the face to me.

I like Walker as part of the thunderbolts- not because I actually like Walker, but because I’m immensely amused every time Yelena and Ava tag-team to put him in his place and bully him.
