"The eternal present is the space within which your whole life unfolds, the one factor that remains constant. Life is now. There was never a time when your life was not now, nor will there ever be." Eckhart Tolle

“The only way to master love is to practice love. You don’t need to justify your love, you don’t need to explain your love; you just need to practice your love. Practice creates the master.”

I found this blog years ago but I was young and stupid and I didn't follow it. I never forgot this funny guy so I'm glad I found him again! Not making the same mistake now 😀

Holiday Giveaway!
Hi Tumblr. I’m doing a fun little giveaway and I hope you’ll participate. Here are all the details you need and even some that you don’t need:
Who even are you?
I’m Shane! I’m the person who looks a pterodactyl that’s been run over by a dump truck, sitting in the wheelchair in the picture above. I’m an author, nonprofit executive, award-winning boyfriend, and my body doesn’t work for shit. I live with a disease called Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
Whose magnificent legs are those?
Those legs belong to my girlfriend, Hannah. Unlike mine, her legs work exceptionally well. Much of the content I write involves our relationship. For instance, what is it like to have naked sexy time with the person who just held you on the toilet while you had diarrhea? These are the hard-hitting issues I like to explore in my work.
What are you giving away?
The winner of this giveaway will receive a $100 Amazon Gift Card. That’s enough to buy FOUR Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors or FOURTEEN Digital Meat Thermometers.
How do I enter?
The rules are very simple. All you need to do is:
   1. Reblog this post.    2. Follow me on Instagram. My username is @shaneburcaw
That’s it! The winner will be randomly selected on 12/16. Once I reach out to you and verify that you’re not a robot and that you followed me, I’ll send you your gift card right away.
Why are you doing this?
I’m in a race against time to achieve 100,000 followers on Instagram. The doctors say I just might walk some day if I can reach that number.
Will I regret following you on Instagram?
Imagine a place where all your wildest disability fantasies exist together in unity: atrophy, caregiving, interabled love, wheelchairs, and migrating nipples. Now open your eyes. You’re staring at my Instagram page, and your dreams have come true.

“True love gives us beauty, freshness, solidity, freedom, and peace. True love includes a feeling of deep joy that we are alive. If we don’t feel this way when we feel love, then it’s not true love.”

“I have learned so much from God that I can no longer call myself a Christian, a Hindu, a Muslim, a Buddhist, a Jew. The Truth has shared so much of Itself with me that I can no longer call myself a man, a woman, an angel, or even a pure Soul. Love has befriended me so completely it has turned to ash and freed me of every concept and image my mind has ever known.”
