Something that bugs me with people talking about The Backrooms is with "The Backrooms wasn't meant to have monsters! It was meant to be endless with no monsters!" Like it's canon when The Backrooms has no real canon lore, it's a Internet concept, The Backrooms wasn't born from any already existing media with its own story, lore, characters compare to other fandoms, there was no books/movie/tv show/etc that the Backrooms was born from.
It came from a single thread on 4Chan, the whole monsters thing came from that post because the original post implies there is a single entity hunting humans.
If the Backrooms had any real "canon", it would be whatever info that is given in the original post with The Backrooms being that yellow empty room that goes on forever and one unknown entity hunting the person who was unlucky to fall into it.
I feel like these people saw someone or heard someone interpretation of the Backrooms being endless and empty and took it as Gossipal.
The Backrooms is what I call a "sandbox media", think about Creepy pasta and SCP for a example, both of these media came from a single concept online, Creepypasta becoming from online horror stories and SCP becoming from "What if there is a company that keeps entities to keep humanity safe?"
Both these concepts got explored by people online, there are characters in these media that canon lore while there is characters in these media who doesn't. Two examples of this is Eyeless Jack and Scp-106/Old Man.
Some people think that Eyeless Jack was a human who had his eyes cut out somehow.
Some people think Scp-106 was a human solider in one of World Wars.
Some people think Eyeless Jack is a entity
Some people think Scp-106 is an alien.
There is no right or wrong way to interpretate these characters due they have no real canon lore.
This applies to The Backrooms, if you think Backrooms is Endless and empty, Good on you!
If you think the Backrooms has monsters, good on you too!
There is no right and wrong way to see the Backrooms since it has no canon.
Please stop complaining about other people interpretations Over a fictional concept.
If someone interpretations isn't your cup of tea, you don't need to interact with it.
At this point, it's comes off nitpicking and discourage people to make their own stories with a fictional concept because you are setting rules over a fictional concept and that's not fun.
End of the day, The Backrooms is a fictional concept wth no lore attached to it, it is a concept that allows people to explore whatever they like and create stories with.
